I vote for a flirt icon, too! It was hard to tell sometimes, if my Shep is going to be just friendly or if her/his intentions are more serious.

@Eliantariel, thanks for posting those little dialogues. I agree with you - Joker is definitely up to something Haha, I always read way too much in every sentence just to give myself hope for Jokermance. I wonder what are the M!Shep variants of this dialogue, if they are equally... suggestive

Sorry to just break into the conversations here, but I thought I should post this of Seth Green (I posted it in the ME2 Joker thread just to keep it semi-alive). Tell me you can't watch that video and imagine Joker doin some karaoke during shore leave.

And yes, I'm all for a flirt icon in ME3 too. I just started playing DAII but it makes things a lot easier. *got ninjamanced in ME1*

On a more topical note, I think a new highlight color would be more feasible than icons. Flirtatious dialogue doesn't happen enough to really warrant setting up a new system when the majority of his options are still just Paragon-Neutral-Renegade-Moreinfo-I Should go now. (although a little boot icon would be hilarious...)

A pink or green highlight would be a lot easier to implement.
Mind you I think more accurate summaries on the dialogue wheel and fewer romancable characters in total would probably fix the ninjamance issue just fine. The writers got stretched a bit thin in ME2 and the characters suffered for it.

Definitely agree about the evolution of Jokermance friendship and progression to romance. It's the best way to go with Joker for sure.In a perfect world I'd love for them to really invest in the romance sub-plot and its complexities. I'd love the feeling of my character actually falling in love, without being initially interested. Sort of like Carth in KOTOR. I loved that you could insult him as much as you liked (and as that appealed to his character) the romance would progress.
Unfortunately... this comes along with ninjamances... 

Without a clear definitive option to reject or continue down a certain romance plot before you know it... the whole crew is interested in you  aaand... that makes for awkward times.
I suppose that's the difficulty for Bioware. They listened to the fans and fixed one mistake, but it just comes with another. XD

For Joker I'd love banter in the romance - as with Carth - but friendly banter. And thinking about it... as long as the flirt options aren't cringeworthy, the 'heart' option would actually work very well in this regard. So the player is clear with their choice and Shepard doesn't come off as both socially and sexually deprived....

I quite like the idea of a coloured highlight. For me it'd be less simplistic than the icon.
And I believe the character/romance problems will be fixed in ME3. They are talking about a smaller more intimate squad.

I much preferred DA2's dialogue wheel. The icon hearts are corny but at least the intention of the choice is very clear.
@Jimmy Fury The idea of colour coding dialogue for ME3 is growing on me. It fits with the established blue and red.

So post Horizon and my Shep has just snarkily admitted her feelings to Joker "you're the glue holding it together." I wish I'd saved before speaking to him so I play that one again.

I gotta admit... my stomach did drop a little at reading that on my twitter. And then I rushed over here to see everyone else's reactions. I guess everyone here is thinking along the lines of "Please don't let this mean they're doing a Joker/Edi relationship. Please."

I told myself not to get hopeful or too disappointed in these vague tweets, but it's been getting harder and harder as the weeks go on >_<

I wasn't too worried when I first saw the tweet... but now I don't know.

They'll never get rid of Joker and EDI's interaction - which I'm glad for because it's awesome - but if they turn it into an actual romance. Well it wouldn't work imo.
I hope it doesn't happen... Joker deserves real human love!

Yes the joker/edi dynamic is great and i shouldnt be as worried as i am about a couple of tweets and piccies! But.....but......bioware wouldnt do that to us would they? Would they? No, no it would be creepy and wrong - joker need femshep love - denying us a jokermance and then having him with edi would be like rubbing salt in a wound!

Besides. Just because EDI and Joker are getting along so well now, doesn't mean he won't romance someone. Would be kinda funny if he took relationship advices from EDI.

Yeah, he does say something like that in this video, which also makes me believe that they wouldnt put a Joker/EDI romance into the game, but then again I could be wrong.
