Maybe Joker's chair is built on it's own elevator and he just pushes a button and it lowers down into his quarters.
The reason we never see it is because he knows Shepard has to go go up two levels and go down a completely obligatory hallway to get to his/hers and it won't do to make the commander jealous...

@ Jimmy - Definitely true! I didn't even think of cruise liners. I was thinking kind of on the Starfleet line of thought...they're not military, but they have a command structure. I also approve of this chair elevator idea...

@ FFV - And THAT made me squee! Glad you like it. Let me know what you think of those two chapters. I would hate to go astray!

Maybe he means us fans will flip out in a good way? And, don't forget, he said "You guys are gonna be REALLY happy." I don't think there's anything happy about Joker getting killed... also, just look at how happy they are here!

If Joker ends up being the tragic hero (unless I can prevent it in some way during the playthrough), I will react with the following (fair warning: turn your speakers down)

 I completely spoiled myself for ME2.. and everyone ended up surviving.Which is great and everything, but I didn't get the same shock and emotional impact I might have done had I not been so curious. I'm going to try and avoid spoilers for ME3 - big spoilers I mean. I definitely wouldn't mind finding out if we finally get Joker as LI though

I did something similar :-( not going to do that again  but just finding out who the LI's are isnt really a spoiler - or not a big one!

I am a huge Alan Rickman fan and a Snape fan - you wont be disspointed, crying your eyes out maybe but not dissapointed

True but I knew nothing about DA2 when I got it - aside from the fact I'd be playing Hawke not my Warden - and I got a lovely surprise in discovering Anders was a companion AND romance-able!That was before I discovered his facial reconstruction and personality change, however 
Still it would never hurt to find out about Joker before the game.My first playthrough Shep is going to stick with Kaidan anyway. And if it turns out that Joker isn't romanceable MY WORLD WILL END I'll have time to reconcile myself before it's released.

(Damnit! The book made me bawl enough. Why Snape, WHY must you tug at my heartstrings so ;__

I HAVE to know about Joker beforehand. I'd far rather know before i start playing rather than thinking it might. Or even worse, playing thinking its not included then completing it and finding out it is, i just missed it!
