@ Ayrini It would have been great if Joker had been a LI in ME2. But all good things come to those who wait I guess. And this way there has been a good amount of build-up =) I'm hoping for ME3!

Wanted to express my support for a Joker romance. I'm disabled myself, and it's so refreshing to see a disabled character who isn't the "inspirational cripple." Joker the cocky, somewhat pervy ace pilot. Oh, yeah, and he's got Vrolik's. It doesn't define him. Giving him a romance would just be that much more awesome.

i like joker, he doesn't let his disability let himself down, he does the best he could do. He would also be the best romanceable in me history for my femshep. He is the best damn pilot in mass effect history and supports shepard 100% no matter who's side she is on

I can be wrong but I think that the only time that you really talk to him about it is one discussion in ME. But jupp, it's just one part of him and that shouldn't stop him from becoming a LI he's wonderful!

I must say I was quite disappointed with build-up of romances in ME2. I also hope that in ME3 we'd be able to avoid ninjamances and we'd be able to end the romance in a polite way without hurting anybody.
I'd appreciate deeper dialogue - Joker would be ideal partner for sharing concerns and secrets. I can picture them after lights-out under one blanket eating ice-cream and... um talking...
When I see it written, it's actually quite disturbing, I don't know what happened to me. Well, I just read in the hate thread that we're just bunch of highschool giggling girls. So there you have it

If you romanced Kaidan in ME1 and speak with Joker after Horizon and in the dialogue wheel select the answer that means something like "it went ok but the relationship is over now" Joker tells you first that he is glad that Shepard is not in a bad mood and that there is a reason why he does not date crew members.

The question is if this is just a general attitude of him or it could mean that he does not date crew because he wants Shepard.....

Concerning Joker and Kelly or someone else: I must admit I would be terribly disappointed if there would be a Joker romance with Kelly or someone else and not Shepard.

But with all the Jokerfans and Kellyfans I think Bioware would not do this because then Kelly fans would be unhappy that there is no Shepard - Kelly romance continuation and Jokerfans unhappy because there is no Joker-Shepard romance.... and additionally, Kelly and the rest of the ME2 crew can die in ME2, while Joker is alive and for import of a ME2 savegame Shepard has to be alive too.

So a Joker-Shepard romance is less problematic as a Joker-crew romance where part of the crew maybe dead.

And it is more reasonable that someone like Joker who isn't a "people person" (he says in ME2 if you ask him about the crew/squad that you should not ask him but a people person) fall in love with Shepard who is his friend since ME1 and saved his life then with a new squad/crew member in ME3 that he has not seen before.

True - romance or not we need definitely more dialogue with him and I would like to see him once not only in the cockpit/on the bridge but also e.g. in the elevator or in the lunchroom or kitchen searching for a cup of coffee or a sandwich and initiating a talk between Shepard and him, maybe talking about nightmares or the good old time...

It was nice standing behind him and listening to him in ME2 but I missed to be able to answer him and to have a normal conversation that has nothing to do with the mission or saving the world.

In my honest opinion all the relatinships seemed forced in ME i mean with Kadian when he asks shepard does she do this with all the crew? you can't just say YES all your options are to lead him on Liara is the only one you can openeing deny. In ME2 it was easy to pull on the breaks if you didn't want a romance but all conversations ended. So in ME3 i hope they make romances more of an option built on what you say to the person and the person not take it the wrong way like for those of us who want to romance joker we can depending on the dialouge we choice as people who don't want to can just continue in the friendship with out leading him on. I hope i made sense if not then well it made sense to me lol

The thread was closed but there are always people who don't like in general if other people have different ideas or opinions.

I think most of these people forget that a romance is only a small part of the game and an optional one. Except ME1 Shepard had to do the first move to start a romance and I hope that Bioware will not make the ME3 romances feel like forced.

And don't forget that Mass Effect is a kind of shooter RPG - the people who like RPG want as much options as possible while the ones who are used to the normal shooter feeling don't like such RPG features like romances. But it should not be difficult for them to ignore this and to play how they want - maybe completely without romance if this fits to their character.

Additionally, that there are many romance options does not mean that everyone is in love with Shepard - it is only to give the player more options so that they can better role-play the character and decide who fits better to their Shepard.
