Indeed. I have a bad feeling about this. But if it was Joker related I wonder why we got all those positive sounding hints and comments from several different people at Bioware and Seth was really happy about his ME3 Joker part.

I wonder if Patsquinade will really reveal something that would be a major spoiler in his tweets. If it is something that the public should not know why should it be mentioned at twitter? Even if it is locked and only open to some followers? Patsquinade does not have only Bioware employees as followers so this is an information that would be given outside Bioware. And if the public is allowed to know they can freely post/tweet about it.

So - this is strange.

At least it would be helpful to know if it is Joker related or not.

Casey said in a tweet recently that they are in a final stage of production with ME3 and that he cannot change things anymore. I am sure they will still have decisions for minor things but the whole story and dialogue part seems to be finalised. So I suppose the decision of a Jokerromance or not is already done and may not be changeable at this time.

So we have the following possibilities:

a) Jokerromance yes, but only with crew/squadmate/EDI not Shepard: 

I don't see why Bioware should do this - it would be feeling forced, as Joker already told Shepard that he don't date crew and as nearly everyone in ME2 can be killed off this would only have an impact for those players where those crewmembers/squadmates are alive. Or it is a new character that will be introduced in ME3 but seriously, this would really feel forced. And EDI? She does not even has a human body and everything else would really be strange. And I don't see how and why she could/should get such a body.

And please do not forget: this is Shepards story and Bioware is trying to put more dialogue and everything else in the game so I don't think that they will focus on NPC-NPC romances.

If this is the case I really have no idea why we got several hints and comments (not only Casey, see OP for some more examples) that a Joker romance will likely be part of ME3. If they had not said anything at all ok but not after all the information we got. This would just be really really mean. 

c) Jokermance with Shepard

This is still what I think it is more likely than everything else based on the comments and hints we got - and assuming that Bioware is not lying.


d) Joker dies at the end:

I believe this would only happen in a really bad ending of ME3 and we know that we will have multiple endings. A favourite character like Joker will likely not killed of in all endings. Bioware normally give us the choice like in ME2. And - this is would be such a huge spoiler that patsquinade is surely not allowed to give, not even in a protected twitter account.

OMG He's going to be ANDERISED!

We all know Mass Effect isn't ending with Shepard so perhaps Joker is going to be a NPC in future games. There's no romance with Shepard or anyone else because it adds too much baggage to him.

This is exactly was I am thinking too...

Bioware has been very silent concerning the whole LI topic. I am sure that all Bioware employees have a list of things that they are allowed to spoil and some others that they should not tell somebody outside Bioware. Even if a twitter account is set to private - there are still followers of patsquinade that do not belong to Bioware. So it would be kind of public.

If Joker is a LI or not would be a huge spoiler - I can't see patsquinade telling directly something like this.

Hmh, difficult to say as we don't know what will happen in ME3. I have the impression that there will be a solution for the Reaper problem. A kind of open end would not be satisfying. I am curious about what could be the story/focus in a new Mass Effect game - maybe a MMORPG like Star Wars and the character has to survive in a galaxy that tries to rebuilt from the Reaper attack and you are facing chaos all around?

Joker can have a cameo even if he is in a relationship with Shepard. But it would be great if he would become a major NPC or even a LI in the new game.

Well, at least Anders is a LI now and you can stay with him at the end of DA2. It is not that bad. But he has changed from Awakening to DA2, but really, I wasn't too fond of him in Awakening and liked him better in DA2.

I think I will return to my motto: hope the best and expect the worst.

This is the best we can do. I am still optimistic for a Joker romance because there are so many hints towards that and we have reasons to hope for a Jokermance more than ever. Let's hope Sorrel comes back soon and can explain what happened.

To be fair most of the DA2 LI fan have to defend them people seem to think its ok to constantly point out Anders - Terrorist etc, Fenris - emo etc, Merril - child etc, Isabela - diseases, and Seb - religious nut job etc. None of which I think is fair or correct. My only issue with Anders was the complete change in character and even though there was a reason, I just missed the Anders who wanted a pretty girl and a kitty to snuggle . Just hoping Joker doesnt receive this treatment - I dont think he will as he is loved but then again DAA Anders was loved too - but thinking back (cant remember if it was Seth or Thrisha - but think it was one) on twitter said we would love what happens to Joker and it has had me worried for a bit!
