Can maybe someone with a twitter account send Casey a link for our Joker romance thread? Just in case they haven't noticed yet

I really don't think that Bioware will tell us something LI related - they are really silent about everything character related and especially romance topics. I don't think they would even mention a NPC-NPC romance if this would really be implemented. But as Mass Effect is Shepards story I don't know why they should invest ressources to implement NPC-NPC relationships and maybe offend with this the players that want to romance this NPC themself.

So it seems we really have to wait until march.

And my dear forumites: please don't worry about Joker - Seth told us that we will love it and everything is better than we even expect. I am sure he would not say that if something would happen to Joker that is not pleaseant and that we don't like to see.

Here are mine:

1. Lea Shepard (Earthborn, war hero, paragon)

She romanced no one in ME1 because she is a career type and don't want any complications. After her death she is not so severe anymore and slowly understands that her feelings for Joker are more than only friendship.



2. Ann Shepard (Spacer, War hero, Paragon)

She romanced Kaidan in ME1 but after her death she isn't anymore sure about her feelings for Kaidan. Depending on the events in ME3 she will either reunite with Kaidan or getting together with Joker.



3. Eryn Shepard (Earthborn, Sole survivor, Paragade)
She is a carrer type and because of her past not very eager to start a relationship. However, she always had a crush for Joker...

If its true they cant change anything anymore, not sure theres much point. We shall just hope for the best, or not. He more than likely has an account here, too.

I have an ickle feeling they might do a DA2 and reveal the LI's on valentines day lol

I know and you are right - I was only hoping for a "Yeah we already noticed" as response from Casey or just some news about Joker. As our thread is normally on page 1 it should not be so easy to overlook...

But seeing how even the ME2 squadmates are rarely mentioned Bioware seems to have the iron curtain of silence put on everything character/NPC/story related... and still 7 months to go... *sigh*

Unless theres another big event they're saving some ****** bits for, or a big interview? Maybe thats how they release info... cant think of whats next though

Eliantariel - unfortunetly as an xbox player its hard for me to share their faces in anyway that will do them justice :-(, but my fav Joker Shep is called River, she is a colonist, war hero paragon. She has always been so focused on proving herself (she joined the alliance because her father had wanted her too not because she really wanted to serve) and never really looked at a man twice until Joker.

I have had TWO dreams in the past couple of weeks in which I was sitting down to play ME3 and discovered that there was a Joker romance.  Then I got super excited and ran to the Internet to tell everyone before waking up.

Kate is a Spacer/Sole Survivor Engineer and Renegon.  Kate tends to do take Paragon actions but take a surly Renegade tone about it.  XD  Her fiance died in the attack on Akuze, and she's never been in a serious relationship since then.  Joker reminds her of him (SEE THANE/CARTH, I CAN DO IT TOO), so she is torn between liking him and keeping him at arm's length to keep from having to deal with the memories.  She's not the most emotionally stable or mature person.  She also hooked up with both Kaidan and Jacob.  She tells herself that she loved Kaidan, but it probably wouldn't have worked out in the long run.  Jacob died in the Suicide Mission, which Kate blames herself for.

lol for taking Joker to the Elcor Hamlet production for a first date. I can see my poor little Shepard trying and failing not to giggle at Joker's remarks all through the play. Hmmm.... wonder if they would be thrown out   



And jupp, I can't see them revealing anything as big as new LI:s as soon as 7 months in advance. We will most likely be left to wallow just a.... few months more. Let's just hope they will reveal it on valentines day. Then it's only half a year away.... Ohh Frak

Alas, I too have a 360, but Sandra Shepard looks an awful lot like Eliantariel's first Shep. She's a Spacer/Sole Survivor Paragon, who has a little too much fun with sniper rifles. She's also not the most mature person around, which is partly why she and Joker get along so well. She didn't have a romance throughout the first two games because she's still partially heartbroken about her ex and because of that she's too shy/afraid to admit her feelings.

My Xbox also will not let me give you flattering pics of my Shep but I can describe her.

Clarisse (Reese for short) Shepard looks somewhat like Eliantariel's 3rd Shepard except she has red hair in Jane's style. She's an Earthborn Sole Survivor Paragon (with a little Renegade of course) and she's gone from bad girl to completely focused and a bit stoic, a soldier through and through. That didn't leave much time for romance, though she occasionally looked Kaidan's way in ME1 but nothing ever came of it.

Being around Joker relaxes her and makes her a little less rigid. Who doesn't want a dude who can make you laugh?

Naomi Shepard, colonist and sole survivor. She has a love for anything mechanical and a need to understand how stuff works. She's too logical to believe in nonsense like curses but there's a part of her that wonders if some higher power doesn't have it in for her. That there might be a reason why people she loves die.
She likes Joker, more than she'll admit, but it safer for both him and her to ignore the moments of attraction and pretend it's just good synergy between captain and pilot.

Elcor Hamlet sounds like an awesome first date. Is a Turian version of Romeo and Juliet an actual thing or just something I picked up from a fic and it's stuck in my brain as canon?

IIRC it was the Hamlet guy's new project. I suspect it was something I read in a fic rather than heard it in game.

The turian/quarian couple in the bar are my favourite ambience dialogue. He's so in the friend zone she's blithely talking about switching on her vibrator lol

Athena Shepard looks kinda like Eliantariel's first Shep but with the bigger eyes (green) and red default hair. She's a Colonist/Sole Survivor so her life kinda sucked heh. ALso her and Jokers first date would totally be watching Blasto xD

That, for me, was the real heartbreaker. Not just Sorrel's bad news, whatever it was, but the fact that whatever we do now, the game is basically past the point of, "Oh, crap, we should do this, let's add it in."

But you're right--those wounds will/would heal. I will read the fanfiction, look at the art, talk in this thread about all the great Joker lines and moments in ME3. As much of a blow as this, if I assume the worst is true, I still value my head-canon the most. It's better than any of the straight romances I've seen in the ME series, even the best-written ones (IMO, Thane and Kaidan). I don't mean to insult the writers with that, nor to disparage the characters. I love them, I just thought the romances were each lacking in some critical aspect or another, not that ME3 couldn't change my mind. I mean, I was lukewarm about Liara in ME1, but after ME2 I adore her.

Joker would've been the anti-drama, non-sleazy long-developing romance with a regular (yet awesome) guy instead of with an alien or soldier. It would've been a lovely change of pace.

The only hope I can find right now--and I am trying--is that even though the news is bad for the moment, there might be hope for the future. A DLC of some sort--maybe one with dates for all Shepards--could still happen. If we are completely screwed for now, maybe that's what Sorrel meant by being louder. Maybe there still is a chance.

EDIT: Oh, I would also like to mention that, while I have no screenshots (I am on a computer where the screenshot button is mapped to a different function that pops me out of the game every time a press it and I can't be bothered changing it) my Shepard that was made for Joker was played through ME1 before ME2 came out, and her name is Jack.

When I imported her and met up with Miss Jacqueline Nought I was like "Oh gawddammit Dx".

The nice thing about internet explorer 8 is when it comes out you might be able to play your Xbox games on your computer. I know I'll be getting an updated computer with a super graphics card in with my new PC sometime next year. Right now I'm stuck with stuff on the Xbox. I wish I could show my Shepard in some posses with Joker love. By the way I ordered my copy of Mass Effect 3 from Amazon the collector's edition. I can't wait. I'm still holding onto faith that we get our joker romance. Holla
