@gutty47:
Welcome back! The updated visuals in the dialogue tree are working perfectly for me. I should mention that we have all been missing the conversation on Minuteman Station.... I have saved games to get there easily, but your online dialogue tree is so much easier.

As for what I'd like to see in her romance:

I want it to be epic. Both Shepard and Miranda are larger than life, their romance should reflect that. I want to see them together side by side, looking up at a sky full of Reapers, a determined expression on their faces. I want to see them kissing on TIM's space station in front of that giant star, with a star field in the background and holoscreens flickering around them, and music in which the romantic and the epic intermingle. I want to see them smile at each other in the middle of battle, their faces showing a promise of things to come once they've got their enemies out of the way. I want to see them working together so fluidly that one could suspect telepathy, reinforcing that these two are made to be, to fight, to live together. And in the end, I want an option to make their union symbolic for humanity's path into the future.

For everything else: it's all in the wishlist.

Most beautiful woman ever put in a game-- thanks in large part to Yvonne Strahovski. Been somewhat infatuated with her character since before ME2's launch (again, due to Ms. Strahovski ).

If she doesn't have a satisfying role in this, I'll be largely disappointed. Much of my hype for this game is based around seeing where they take the characters; Miranda being my favorite from ME2, and Yvonne being one of my favorite actresses, I can't wait to see how this goes.

I agree, she's beautiful. I'm glad they used Yvonne's facial features to create Miranda, but there is something I like even more : it's her voice. Her voice-over performance was amazing, especially for an actress who is not a regular VA.

And this Aussie accent ...

Unbeatable. :D

I've only ever described one other speaking voice as 'gorgeous' before and that was Tricia Helfer's-- Yvonne's is another. Pleasant, soft, and sexy to boot. :)

but I think bioware probably know there is a big fan base for miranda especially when you consider some characters that have been confirmed so far have been less popular than Miranda.

True, but, the size of that Tali fan thread that was around (is around? on the ME2 boards) was kinda intimidating.

Oh well, size isn't everything? Posted Image

I was going to type 'Steve Job's son' and then I realized that there was no Mass Effect for Mac. God, I really hope that they're not withholding information just because Miri would have a small role and they don't want an uproar among the Miri fans. I'm hoping that it's only because she really has an important role that if we found out earlier, it would spoil the game experience which makes me believe my theory more that she will be in a life or death situation! Oh no :( but exciting as well

Apple... fail.

True, Quality over Quantity!!

Anybody else think they should give her a new hairdo?? maybe pull her hair up a little?? of course nothing the likes of a bun like ME1 Ash or anything but something to further press the fact that the galaxy is at war and women who are in the middle of the fight don't spend their time at the hairdresser's.

Yes, it looks like light armor made for mobility but at the same time offers certain measure of protection, I don't mind catsuits, and let's be honest I WANT her to be in catsuits aboard the Normandy, but on missions I'd want something lighter than the second Alternate Appearance Pack armor they gave her.

I love that picture! I'd do anything to get her to wear this in ME3. I think it would also work with her hair down, but a ponytail would of course be more practical!

One thing I've recently thought about is her being some kind of Cerberus spy, and that appearance portrays this idea very well imo.

Yes, I want that too, but hair in ME1 and ME2 looks generally awful. I hope they have a found a way to improve it. That includes Shepard's possible haircuts.

As for her outfit, I've wondered. Her original outfit looks quite good in this picture:

But in the game it looks like made for the cheap thrill. The black one quoted above looks ok so far, a compromise between protection and sexiness, but what would they make of it in the game? I've always favored something like this one:

I liked Miri's original outfit most of the time. There would just be those odd moments where it would look awful. All i'm bothered clothing wise is that her outfit reflects the strong, confident and sexy character i so enjoyed in ME2.

I also prefer her hair down but I like the idea of a ponytail.
As long as she doesn't cut her hair.

I hope they will use the new improved technology to model her hair in ME3.

Also, this page need more pictures :

Equal. Shepard does all the "pep talks". Shepard helps fix her problems. It felt very one sided and  that she was putting him on a pedestal at times.

I was interested in her character by how strong her personality was. She was strong and independent and that goes to hell after her Loyalty Mission. She treats Shepard like a King and she is some peasant girl. (okay that my be hyperbole sorry) I want her to show more of her strong traits and have her to "rally" Shepard's morale every once in a while. Instead of Shepard always being her emotional crutch.

This, precisely. Right now the relationship is more akin to god/worshipper than a romamce. She pourss her heart out, but he's never vulnerable. That's the major reason the romance gives me the creeps. I'd also like better main plot intergration. The love scene makes them look sociopathic. Miranda didn't clear the engine room of anyone except Tali.

Perfectly said.

How would everyone else react to Miranda being in a reduced role in ME3?
It depends :

- if she's a cameo I won't buy & play to the game
- if she's a temp squadmate, maybe I will buy and play to the game, but just one playthrough for the main story.

I
wouldn't make this decision lightly : I'm Bioware games fan, I bought
and played to nearly all Bioware games, but I won't be able to play to
ME3 if Miranda has not a significant screen time.
Yet again Yankee, I feel the same. <3

Yeah, I would love it.
"Yvonne, I think the recording session will last a little bit longer this time" [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie]

That would be incredible, however it would have to be exceptionally well written with Yvonne returning.

I would like to see her taking down Cerberus from the inside. As long as I
can have her back on the Normandy as a permanent squadmate, when I join
her and until the end of the game. And I hope we will able to join her
before the middle of the game, I want Miri to have a significant screen
time.

Taking down Cerberus mission could be the "Horizon" mission of ME3.
If
you could pick, wouldn't you rather have Miranda doing something REALLY
important during ME3 that will help you (such as taking Cerberus down)
and her not being a fulltime squadmate, but joining you on certain
missions, and ofcourse the final missions, then have her on board the
Normandy, as a full squadmate, a.k.a a typicall grunt that you take with
you on missions to shoot some bad guys? I mean, if she is a full
squadmate in ME3, she will most certenly not be the XO of the Normandy.
Read my post again, she could take down Cerberus AND
be a permanent squadmate. Permanent squadmate doesn't mean she has to
be on the Normandy 100% of the time, but once you recruit her she stays.
She
could do her own "important" thing during the first part of the game,
and we could join her to finish the job. After, she stays on the
Normandy as the XO, and I don't care if the Alliance doesn't agree (we
should be able to roleplay against the Alliance so I guess this could be
an opportunity). And she helps Shepard to defeat the reapers (which I
think is the most IMPORTANT thing).

But if I have to
choose between her permanent squadmate status and the fact that she
could take down Cerberus, I would choose her squadmate status, for the
reasons I already posted :
Yannkee wrote...

I want her back as a full time squadmate because I want :

- interactions
- many conversations
- a significant screen time
- to continue the romance
- my favorite badass squadmate at my side during missions
- party banters
- my XO back
- character development

Because I want my favorite character at my side during the last chapter of the series, after that we won't see her again.

I agree 110%. <3 I'm beginning to think you can read my mind..

As long as he sees her and gets to spend a good amount of time with her and the romance side of things becomes deeper and more emotional, I will be really happy.

Soulful and I have discussed this at length.  We've done a few blogs on the topic - she has done more than I have, in fact.

Miranda is what my Shepard fights for.  We fight for the lost, we fight to save ALL life in the Galaxy - for the greater good and all of that.  However, in the end, after its all said and done - they want to just be together.  Perhaps with a house in Milan would do  *grins*.

She is no longer a Cerberus lackey.  They still have the Normandy.  She is a powerful biotic, and would continue to make an excellent addition to the team.  I see no reason why it cannot happen  that they stay together.

Earlier on I saw quite a few demands for outfits and character developement and this and that - I have no wish to limit the writers / developers with inane demands.  You write it how you want it - I am just requesting that she be there - and if possible as a full time love interest and party or crew member.

From a profits / marketting standpoint, I believe that having her character on board would be a positive thing.   I know Yvonne has a huge fan following - trust me, you want our support.

I'm all for this, unsurprisingly. What I'd like in the romance? A couple of scenes akin to the post lockdown one in ME 1, where Shepard can be less guarded or show emotions more freely. Something similar to the discussion Shepard and Liara had post Shadow Broker wouldn't be bad either.

I think it's what Bioware plans to do in ME3.

I hope so.

Wow, those look amazing. I'm surprised at how much I like the one of Miranda in her original white uniform considering how much I dislike it in the game.

As for the original topic, I agree, I prefer her hair down framing her face. With all the advancements Bioware have made with creating hair hopefully Miri's new hairstyle will look more natural than it does in ME2.

I know this may be off topic but does anyone here know of any Miranda skin mod for the Sims 3? Would be cool to have her and the outfit when I play my game.
