Yes, they make him stronger. If you did the research (and while
it's stupid to not do them, they're still not required for that

ME2, when he woke up.
Where's the dialogue I bolded? It could be a bit differen with the Italian VO.
It's one of the renegade options when Shep first meets TIM.
Those implants still make him able to take on a Yahg in hand to hand. So headbutting a Krogan isn't that strange.
I see, I have to check it.
LOTSB was released after the game, and in-game Shepard never said he could take on a Yahg, regardless what research you do in ME2. While I agree that some upgrades make Shepard a lot of stronger, I don't remember well the description. It's stated how much strong Shep becomes?
And anyway, if you didn't the research, I find taking a Yahg hand-to hand not very bright. It's the part I disliked most of LOTSB. But even so, it's not that important. I was only stating few examples that if you roleplay Shep in certain way (either in a way you hate or making him dumb) you could not like him.

Doesn't matter. LOTSB can be done before Shep goes to Tuchaka and without the heavy bone/muscle weaves. It still counts.
In game Shep doesn't have to say it. It happens.
No. Just that Shep's stronger.
That is very true. I just contest the headbutting a Krogan is stupid thing. My renegades used that option because they knew it was just the thing to make Uvenk flip out and they knew they could withstand the impact.

Shepard is telling Zaeed (Without using words) "I'm not going to take any lip from you. If you have a problem with the way I do things, then that's your own damn business."
And because Morinth is a more powerful biotic than Shepard means what? Soldier Shepard is better at firearms and hand to hand combat, most likely. Engi Shepard is a better mechanic and scientist. So what? Is it really debatable?
Again, what's the point of using a pistol for the speech, on a person that couldn't move?
The fact about Morinth being most poweful means that if I were Morinth, I'd kill Shepard the moment I killed Samara, since he has no weapons with him, and becauae in the case of a biotic she's far stronger.
Andwe don't know if Soldier Shep is stronger than Morinth on hand to hand. For what we know she could have a lot of skills in hand to hand combat.

In which case you can HC your Shep as testing his body's limits during combat. Mine at least was thrown around like a ragdoll by Harbinger and chased around the battlefield by the Praetorian.
Or maybe it's just not a smart choice for your Shep. Something dumb to someone else's Shep can be a smart/normal decision for another's.

And I doubt Morinth would have killed Shepard. She couldn't have killed Samara without Shepard's help, why betray him? She sounds grateful for your help after killing Samara anyway.

He couldn't get up without some help. He was blocked.
Samara and Morinth were more or less on the same level. And Shepard, without weapons, can't kill Samara in my opinion.
I'm saying what I would do in Morinth's place. Shepard came to kill her, not for playing games. And the point is that Shepard couldn't have know how Morinth would've reacted after Samara's death.
Edit: feel free to respond to this post, but I'm going to stop here, because we're completely off-topic. Soory to everyone for having derailed the thread.

I'm not sure how much Shepard even knows of the Justicar code. He;s shown no evidence of knowing about their existence prior to Samara, and he never really asks that many questions regarding the Code (The only one I remember is "What does the Code say about killing?")
It wouldn't be that difficult to look it up and get some key points. Samara after all doesn't threaten to attack him right after. Not to mention she flat out tells him some of the key points herself if he talks to her. (after all knowing she'd save an innocent over going after him is one way of defending himself like Nihlus did).
@hh: Glad we're in agreement.

No, or I guess I should say: not really. A couple of UK gamer magazines had some ME3 coverage where she was mentioned. But nothing substantive.
Thanks, much appreciated + you saved me a proper lunchtime.

Normandy Medical Bay:
Miranda: (puts down datapad) You headbutted a krogan?
Shepard: It seemed like a good idea at the time. Besides isn't my skull made of high-strengh ceramic now?
Miranda: While it's probably just as dense you're skull is original. Doctor Chakwas said there was no sign of concussion and over-the-counter painkillers should help with the soreness.
Shepard: (smirks) You're not going to kiss it better?
Miranda: If I do that it will only encourage you.

I believe the original proposition was that Shepard WAS dumb (player choice never coming into play for this assertion) and maybe that was a reason to dislike him. Obviously this is not the case.
But anyway enough derailing. Back to mutual hobbies I would think sailing would be something Shepard and Miranda could share. Again it has a certain elegance suitable to Miranda and as for Shepard it's a great way to escape for a while. I have limited personal experience in sailing and with the exception of flying (actually flying, not flying in a vehicle) I can't think of an experience that feels more "free".

But I really can't see that being a part of her. A leisure activity I see her engaging in would have to be something that would have some sort of benefit, otherwise I don't feel like she would see the point of it. Thats not to say that she'd never do something for the pure joy of it, but rather that if she were to seek out an activity it has to have some pay off to it.

I would like to think that Miranda would have a hidden athlete inside of her, but I don't think that's the case. I can see her having a very methodical and scientific workout combined with what I assume is a perfect metabolism to bolster her perfect appearance, but I think someone who speaks with erudition to have a side that's purely physical is very endearing and adds to the allure of the person.
It's true that I have a bit of hard time seeing her do anything... outdoorsy, like hiking or skiing or whatever (on one occasion sure, but not as a hobby). Martial arts seem to fit, and I like the fencing and archery ideas as well.

The N7 option sounds like my kind of Shepard. He'd teach what he knows best.He hates politics or politicians rather.
My Male Shep is also a bad dancer, okay singer. He'd try to impress her by singing to her as a way of "seduction" maybe? Just a thought... Miranda would probably laugh at him.
He can appreciate classical music but I think he'd be more into the fast beat type music in clubs and maybe some rock, like the group Foreigner.
My Shepard would do exactly the same thing.
Miranda would just scoff and say "What in the hell are you doing?"
But club music? Ick.
Well some of my own taste of music has some influence on MaleShep.

Being a former Judo student myself (As is my Shepard), I approve of Miranda practicing MA.
I could see her doing Tai Chi (She can keep her calm and cool in just about any situation).
In terms of actual combat, I could see some Muay Thai or Braz. Jiu Jitsu.

If anything it'd be Muay Thai or American Boxing since those are the most fundamental and effective martial arts known to man. BJJ or Judo are for people expecting to encounter people in grappling or greco wrestling.
Muay Thai and American Boxing are for people expecting to get into street fights, or brawls and need to knock someone out quickly. T'ai chi ch'uan is for people seeking meditative movement or someone whose very instrospective with thier mind turned toward the esoteric. Miranda's too methodical a person to enjoy that.
I'd say Hun Gar, but that's too fancy, even though its the most "real" form of Gung fu boxing.
