If Miri hid her doubts at first, why?

Out of respect or fear? I don't know. She's been his subordinate for so long - everytime he said jump, she said "How high!" (Like the Council/Alliance expects Shepard to do) She didn't want to tick him off. I mean, he was essentially a "father figure" to her as we don't know next to nothing about her father - except his participation in how she become and that he's also tied to Cerberus (which might be why she joined. "It's in her blood - erm, genes" if you will") However, she didn't expect TIM to be as ruthless if not more ruthless than her father.

She wouldn't even dare imagine her father doing what TIM is despite having the same philosophy.

That's the personal side of it.

The professional side would be that TIM "glamourized" the idea of being part of Cerberus which was obviously very appealing to her.  Sure, some say she should have left after upteenth failed projects and we know Jack's the last person she should've lay eyes on (too late of course). Yet, she stayed? Why?

Given the end of ME2 (The Base), TIM was not going to let his genetic success get away from him as you see he's pissed now because she did - despite his pleading (I think she would have left if you chose to have kept the base; therefore, the appeasing to Paragons isn't necessarily true)

For the most part I RP that the seeds of doubt were planted after Horizon. Sprouted during the Collector Ship and were fully grown when she resigned.

Personally, I also add the 1st romance conversation to this list.
IMO the conversation about Cerberus sounds like the typical Cerberus propaganda speach, with Miranda trying to convice herself that Cerberus motives are right and still in accord with her personal convictions.

(just my opinion, I understand that other people interpret this scene differently)

Well if we are adding conversations on the Normandy then yes I can see this too.
I was focusing more 'outside' of the Normandy.

I personally think the doubts began sometime around, when she started to see what Shepard was capable of, it may have made him have really small doubts, but they were far too minor to have much weight. Collector Vessel, was the turning point in my opinion.

My current Shepard is bit ''meh'' about Cerberus, he doesn't trust them nor like them too much, but he doesn't see the point in complaining about it constantly. He's just doing his ''job''.

He couldn't have done much. Alliance couldn't have been drawn there in larger number, else the war with Terminus systems would've broken out. Same goes for other council races,

I'm not asking to have fleets standing by but anything is better than warning Shepard only after the colony has already gone silent.
Cerberus has commandos.

also if he hadn't done it, larger colony may have been abducted.  There were colonies constantly vanishing, while you were going on in the game.

That was the only way to at least try and affect on where they'd go next. There always has to be some sort of sacrifice to get back into the game, that you're currently losing.

But did we really get back into the game? What did we win?
We never see TIM doing much with the knowledge that the Collectors were interested in Shepard and alerting them to the fact that Shepard is alive could have sped up the Collectors' operations thus leading to the abduction of the much larger colonies you spoke of.

Are you referring to when Miranda defends the Cerberus' operations we encounter in ME1?
Quite frankly, I tought her justifications were all very reasonable.

Thats mostly how i see it also, that and certain dialogue choices you make as Shepard where you question why she is so loyal to Cerberus and so on. I don't think Pre-Shepard she thought there was any other way to do things than Cerberus's way (or any right way anyhow) but when Shepard came along she wondered about it, then when Shepard questions her (it might be the first time someone actually did that) it created even more doubt in her mind.

Events play their part also, Collector Vessel, Pragia and it comes to a head during the SM, but thats just my take on it, others rightly can take their own also.

What cconsequences do you see happening since Miri resigned? I for one hope to see none.

I can't see any reason as to why there would be, but I just feel a bit....concerned.

Pragia doesn't always happen on my playthroughs, I am hard at taking ''orders'' from someone who I respect less than sewer rat. I do the opposite, that is asked, usually. So that doesn't happen on everyone's playthrough.

What about a Ren Shep? I could see doubting Shep, but maybe she was doubting TIM as well. She didn't seem to confident. "No, no, he wouldn't!" Yet, two TIM traps later. "Oh, yes, the hell he would, Miri!" My Shep was all about her business, too (that sounded wrong); however, she told TIM to basically stuff it! He jerked her around for the whole game (His three traps) and I'm supposed to be okay with that? Hell no! (Miri feels the same way)

Curiously, Miranda knows about Pragia even if you never do Subject Zero's LM.

I don't say no, I just ignore her and hope she doesn't snap and kill my awesome engineer duo.

I don't really think about how things work out with other Shepards. I just play how I feel and hope it ends in some acceptable way, that feels personal. I want to meta game as little as possible.

Meta Gaming is the player making decisions with knowledge the character(Shepard) does not have, correct?

What does it mean fully in lamens terms....? rofl:P

Is that just because you dislike Jack as a character? Or is it more if you don't like the situation as its presented you'll go another route kind of thing?

I don't like Jack period, but it works the same way in real life, if I don't respect someone and I end up into situation like that I do the opposite. It became less so after bit of military training, but it's still there, though back there you could just forget the person and respect the rank.
