I agree with jtav, we both already discussed about this .
She set the tone of ME2 in more than one way ( main NPC/second main character, most used squadmate, most chosen LI ) .
Since BW probably wanted to change the tone of their next game, she couldn't have the same
role in ME3 .
It was either sideline her completely or her being the hero of her own journey .
Im way back in the thread and playing ketchup!

I agree with this completely. Finding out she wasnt a squadmate after how much I felt "directed" toward her irked me for a long time. But now that Ive reflected a bit, theres no way her role couldve been anything similiar to what it was in ME2, her personality and strength of character, are too much. You'd have to do some serious diversion of saving the galaxy for shep and miri to take center stage- if your staying true to her character. And I bet, (im a optimist) they will stay true to her character and the only option was giving her- her own path.
As far as why tali and garris are squadmates again, I think they really did this in large part from ME2, I think they wanted to give the player a chance to have squadmates throughout the series. Tali and garris, just work that way. bringing in a LI from Me1, wouldve really cut down the chance to explore the other options from Me2. With wrex I think they stayed true to his character development, he grew in Me1 and the seeds of the krogan future were sewn- and can be seen in ME2 with what hes doing on tuchanka (sp?) So those are just some thoughts.
now a very dumb question, Ive seen the reference VS, more times then I can count and I really cant figure out who this is, I keep drawing a blank, any help?
