I dropped it awhile ago now, And he comes out of nowhere.
It's like he's trying to get me kicked out of BSN.
Help me.

Perhaps that is a good idea. I will try. I will not troll, and via this post, I'm sending my official apology to masseffectfanforlife101

On Topic: The Jack hate in this thread is starting to get noxious. This is a Miranda love thread; bashing other characters is not the point of it. That said, I like Jack. She's the Ying to Miranda's Yang (that sounded nasty lol). They are very much alike but each were faced with polar opposite circumstances in their back story. In Mass Effect 3 I'd be surprised if they haven't developed an antagonizing respect for each other. Like the example given earlier, an Aveline/Isabela like dynamic.

It's a video game. Don't make such a big deal out of it. You're in total control. I'm sure you'll be able to put one in Jack's head if the situation calls for it.MASSEFFECTfanforlife101 wrote...
How can you be so sure that Miri and jack will not continue to dislike each other in ME3?
The way I see it, mature or not, jack may still try to go after Miri for spite, idk.
As a well devoted Mirimancer/Mirimaniac, I cannot help but feel this way.
Thoughts?
It's scary to think how you react to things in real life. How old are you?

Wow. Didn't realize Miranda had such a big fallowing. So anyone expect to see Mirandas dad in 3?
I hope so...he's been hinted at so much during Miranda's talks that not to would be disappointing.

Not normally a Miranda fan. But she's an interesting character none the less. Kinda hoping her sister makes an appearance as well.
I don't mind seeing her again, what I hope doesn't happen is that she will be part of Miranda's plot in ME3. Another 'save Miranda's sister' mission would be sooo boring since we did that in ME2 already. Doing it again serves no purpose but to make her character boring IMO.

Admit it, it would be very sweet... har har, har har harrr.Ieldra2 wrote...

Considering I think you and I are pretty much clones (at least as far as thought process goes), I think it's safe to say that you've answered my question for me. I will admit that yes I was attracted to her because she is sexually attractive, and I think I'm honest enough to say that in the opposite sex I do desire a certain amount of physical attractiveness (to which yes, Yvonne certainly qualifies, and yes, to which Miranda must also qualify), and I think that helped my initial decision. Everything else, is a bonus. I'm not fond of overly clingy women in my life, and I have, irl, broken up with several who I think got over that 'line' (the flip side being is that I know that there are women irl who break up with guys who cross that line too!)Ieldra2 wrote...
It does make sense. Thinking about human mating behaviour, it's rare that we fight. Instead, we try to impress. By appearance, personality, wit and skill. Everything. So here's my question:
(1) What did Miranda do that impressed you that way? What made your Shepard go "OMG I want this woman"?
(2) What do you think Miranda would do to impress and attract you, if she thought her place at Shepard's side was in danger?
As for (1), it was the first two scenes with her that did it. When she shot Wilson and the scene on Minuteman Station. As early as that, there was no question that Miranda was the chosen LI, and everything else was more about getting there, and discovering she had aspects that made her even more alluring and interesting.
As for (2), I think she'd try to channel the conflict into professional rivalry, for that is where she excels. Simply spoken, she'd try to impress by being the best. She'd also use her considerable sex appeal, but only in appropriate situations, of which there aren't that many on their missions. The elevator scene comes to mind here.
I like that she has a head on her shoulders, I like that she's competent which means she is confident (sure she has insecurities, but she doesn't let them rule her daily life). To me, she's the very definition of the Alpha Woman essentially, which I guess just helps to attract me. I was going to say that in some cases she represents a sort of 'Trophy Wife' but that's being disingenious, because she's much more worthwhile than just because she's hot.
Truth to be told, I think that because she has a certain amount of ruthlessness about her (and I think the ruthlessness stems from the cold, harsh pragmatism and not from a zealous or mean-spirited behaviour than it's doubly attractive. Have I mentioned yet that I value the fact that she's actually smarter than Shephard?
It's all of these facets I think that make me think that Yvo--Miranda (
Hmm, my response got into a lot more detail than I thought it would.

Well, someone did bring up perhaps seeing their father. If he is seen, do you think he'll come after Oriana again? If so, no question that there will be a "SMS" subplot. Yes, a repeat most likely wouldn't sit well. Howwever, don't forget that he also has ties to Cerberus. So, if they just played that up, I wouldn't mind seeing him - besides, Miranda talks about him quite often in ME2. However, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Oriana as a bargaining chip if Miranda is now a target having left Cerberus. (You know TIM was not about to let her go. She's gone, but it wouldn't surprise me if he tracks her down - possibly, "manipulating" her father. Both these men were cut fom the same cloth)

I mean, there's this massive galaxy-spanning war (give or take), and yet you don't think Miranda would be desperate to save arguably the most important person to her? The flipside is even worse imo, Miranda desperately worrying about her sister and yet being able to do absolutely nothing in order to save her. At least saving her gives Miranda some degree of closure and she could then concentrate on other matters.
Yes, the problem could be that it becomes too much alike her LM, but I have confidence differences could be injected into it.

Might as well not do her LM in ME2 if this happens...
EDIT:
In addition there's too much left open in ME2 for it not to be resolved in ME3: Her father, Cerberus, coming to terms with who she is, and a number of other things that I could mention if I wasn't tired-_-

Yes, mentioned that before: it's something that she has mentioned but only sparsly; enough for myself (and others) to want to know more about and confront.
