Dextro = Garrus and Tali. They're confirmed as permanent squad members even though they have equal chances of dying as any ME2 squad members.

As for DA2, they had a hell of a lot of press, even more than ME3 so far. Game Spot, Ign, and DTOID all gave them scores north of 8.5 then the game came out. It was not anywhere near those scores and a lot of people were pissed. Keep in mind that Laidlaw kept a lot more things under wraps than the ME team has thus far.

So we'll see.

I feel like killing off Tali AND Garrus....BUUUUUTTT I'd have their Deaths on my conscience. Plus I need everyone Alive and Loyal for ME3. ANNND I don't know what will happen if I imported with casualties. It could be bad.

What about an ME3 with only 5 Characters Surviving the SM: Miri, Garrus, Grunt, Mordin, Legion?

Anyone have an ME2 Playthrough with only 5 People, including Miri, surviving?

I haven't. The only times I've had people die was my first playthrough, where I didn't know you needed the ship upgrades.

Are you afraid of what might happen in ME3? You do have some important people alive, Miri Included. Miri=Cerberus, Legion=Heretics, Mordin=Genophage, and Grunt. Don't know about Jack and Kasumi.

Are you afraid of what might happen in ME3? You do have some important people alive, Miri Included. Miri=Cerberus, Legion=Heretics, Mordin=Genophage, and Grunt. Don't know about Jack and Kasumi.

I remember reading something about Mordin's replacement. 

He's just a salarian scientist.

I don't even think Legion CAN be replaced. He was the only platform of his kind.

I know of a handful that do.

I'm not sure if everyone who dies is though.

Like... Thane. Kolyat could replace Thane for whatever his cameo is, but I doubt it.

Well Tali has no replacement, since she, like Garrus is a squadmate in ME3. If they die in ME2, they're gone for good.

Well, about my surviving squad...
Miranda will live. I hope her contribution is important (leading cerberus "rogue" agents).
Mordin is important for the genophage cure.
Grunt will die in ME3, to save the rachni queen.
Jack will lead the biotic childrem (humans biotis will be know after the war), they could be more respected and less feared.
Kasumi. Don't know much about her contribution, but her grey box info helps a spectre.
Legion. I need him to earn the geth army, the quarians and their flotilla will burn (after all, they attacked the geth in the middle of peace negotiations, they deserve it).

Tali in particular is an Engineer, and AFAIK, there isn't another Engineer type person to take her place.

Too bad that I didn't like how the romance started. I like how Miranda's started: both pushing their bounderies, the tension betwen them, and Miranda trying to rationalize her feelings.

And there's a problem with being two squad slots filled with air. Lets says that you lost Tali and Garrus in the SM, then you lost 2 squadmates in ME3 and a lot of banter. But if you lost Legion and Grun, you didnt lost any squaddie and didn't lost any banter.

The pandering to the ME1 was bad, teh best squad for ME3 should have been a mix betwen the ME2 and ME2 squad, not a ME1 squad + new chars (its almos like they are saying that ME2 never happened).

I hate the forced "half-mance" with Liara in ME2 (Especially in LotSB). She goes out of her way to dig up your corpse and retrieve your tags. Not to mention the chestplate Liara kept in a glass case, or the picture that reacts ONLY to Shepard's DNA.

I would be fine with it if she actually WAS romanced, but seeing the whole thing play out felt like I was cheating on Miranda (especially considering she was in my squad for the entire thing)
