I haven't read comics in a very long time, but isn't Bucky Barnes a kid? like 12 or 13?

Not a fan of that, from a Kasumi standpoint. I think that was just a crush, a distraction from Keiji's death, nothing more.

I dunno.
She seems... REALLY into it.

Seriously this anti-jacob thing everyone's on makes no sense. By my opinion no one thus far in the whole Mass Effect universe is "good enough" for Miranda. Perhaps maybe Grunt because he was also designed to be perfect just as she was and with a bit of prodding I think he would prove to be quite intelligent, but this is another topic altogether. With the impressive feats aside I think Jacob seems like a better match than a paragon Shepard. His only reall failing is that he seems to be hard on himself for the wrong reasons and it impedes any progress he seems to make.
I don't think anyone in ME1 or ME2 is a match for Miranda, that's not to say that the are not good enough. Kaidan is too nice, and I think neither would like the other very much. Liara I personally don't like, and I find her too niave (at least in ME1) to attract Miranda. Jacob is the best of a bad lot.
If I had to pick one it would be someone like TIM.

Hey I keep her busy by taking her on every mission. But she still does a whole lot of nothing during transit time between missions. What else is she gonna do? I still vote for distraction. It's not implausible. I just don't subscribe to it.
I don't know if stalking Jacob and watching him (While invisible) exercise (Dem abs) is just a distraction.
Or the love haiku.
Or asking if "He has a penchant for Japanese girls with kleptomania"

Gordon Freeman- he's got the smarts and the kickass. He also doesn't talk which I expect will be some kind of bonus.Wintersect wrote...
Speaking of characters good enough for Miranda, outside of the ME universe, who do you guys think would be a good match for her?
Someone I think she could get along with is Deus Ex: Human Revolution's Adam Jensen.

Yeah Kasumi wants dem abs bad!
As for Miranda and TIM, it wouldn't be the first office romance between a boss and an employee. Brian singer said that when they were writing X-2 he was playing around with the idea of insinuating a sexual relationship between Magneto and Mystique, but the writers didn't like it. Personally it might read like too much of a young girl being taken advantage of, but its not outside the realm of believability.

I got a question for all you think it's a done deal that Miranda won't be your squad mate in ME 3 or do you think they might turn her into DLC squadmate?
Considering there is no post-campaign DLC for ME3...
I can see it happening.
I'd pay $5-$10 for a Zaeed/Kasumi esque set of missions.

Like I said a LOT of transit time. Kasumi doesn't strike me as the type that can sit still for very long. Though I admit it is leaning more towards unhealthy obsession than simple crush at this point.AgitatedLemon wrote...

The haiku is harder to explain.
The quote is in her usual joking manner. I don't really make much of it.

Liara's just about perfect for her if you handwave xenophilia. Both are brilliant, devoted to their chosen passions, will not give up on a perceived obligation, and can and will sacrifice allies. (Sekat, Lazarus crew)
I cannot see it. Maybe it is because I still see Liara as the nervousschoolgirl in ME1 (admittedly she improved in LotSB, I assume your Liara is based on this). Maybe it is because I don't get cross-species romances. *shrugs*
As for TIM: Miranda is in her 30s, and independent. It would be hard to say she was being taken advantage of.

I never understood the strange fascination with Freeman. This is coming from someone who's played HL 1+2 and Ep. 1+2 for HL2.
He has all the personality of Jacob.
And don't bother bringing his accomplishments into this. Every average Joe video game hero from Mario to Sonic to Master Chief to Ryu has saved the world hundreds of times more the Freeman has (And with more personality!).
G-man and Alyx are the only "Give a damn" able characters.

Not all versions and depending on how you play him, since he's more of a blank slate than Shepard, but I can see it, yes.Wintersect wrote...

Now thinking of a Miranda-like protagonist in a Deux Ex-like world. That would be awesome beyond measure.

Won't happen. For marketing reasons. They'll only make DLC for characters guaranteed to be alive at the start of ME3 since otherwise there would be a subset of ME3 players who couldn't play them (and more importantly, pay for them). They'd also need to bring Yvonne Strahovski back for voicing her. Not saying it's impossible, but I won't hold my breath.AgitatedLemon wrote...

Basically because he has no personality the player can insert themselves easier into his role. Besides Half-Life is amazing as a game, not because of Freeman. He's just the vehicle by which we experience the game.
But obviously from a story perspective you can ascribe heroic traits as you see fit*. I suggested him because he invariably has the combat skills (somehow) and the intelligence (theoretical physicist) to keep up with Miranda.
*Or you can make him completley neurotic for the lulz

You contradicted yourself.
In all seriousness... Then don't buy it if you're not going to have Miranda alive/aren't going to interact with her.
Like buying a car and riding a bike all over town.

The "can't die" thing doesn't really fly since any player can simply complete a playthrough where Miranda is alive (or start a unimported one as I assume the default is everyone lives) and then they can play the DLC. And if they don't like the character they obviously wouldn't pay for the DLC.Ieldra2 wrote...

Getting the voice actor back is a significant factor though.

Granted, LotSB was, obviously, much more enjoyable to those who like Liara but at least she was alive in all playthroughs.
