I really do hope she comes back as a permanent squadmate. I liked her character a lot and as a Sentinel she was really useful to my Soldier Shepard.

If Miranda doesn't come back my Soldier Shepard is really going to regret letting Kaiden's dull albeit useful ass get vaporized on Virmire.

The scene is bad, heavily brought down by shep.  Second I think you nailed paragon shep.  It kind of goes to show just how "meh" shep is. No you're not in the minority. Apparently hating on Shep is in these days...
Anyway, your opinion on the specific lines is your business but have you (and by extension everyone else with similar complaints) ever considered the very simple fact that Shep is supposed to be a self-insert character in many ways? I find it odd how people will cry "oh they forced Liara on me, why do I have to be friendly with her" at the slightest provocation yet demand Bioware tell them how their Shep "feels" in certain situations and what his personality is. Similar to the Freeman example earlier, you're supposed to write a bit of Shepard for yourself, to tailor your experience to what you want. Obviously to this end more diverse choices should've been included. But at that point you're thinking in dev mode, in terms of resources and you can't account for everything But it is not a narrative fault. But I find charges of no personality laughable when applied to a character that you're supposed to decide what their personality is like.

Bah spoiler,   oh well I did suspect that and I guess its best to deal with it now rather than rage over it when I get the game like I did with Liara in ME2.   Besides I guess its my own fault for looking at a thread with a spoiler warning any way.  

Some of the choices they've made for the ME3 squad seem pretty odd to me.  

Honestly I can't understand why they felt the need to bring back Kaiden or Ash.   They were hands down the least interesting characters in ME1 and after the **** they said on Horizon I have even less desire to see them come back.   Plus Vega just seems totally meh.... and the fact that he plays like a tank makes me fearful that I won't get a Krogan on my squad which is going to royally ****** me off.

On the uphand I do like Garrus, Liara and Tali; but with the ME3 squad being smaller than the ME2 squad its a shame to have any characters I don't give a damn about taking up precious real estate that could have been better used by someone like Miranda.

Alright,  I'm out of here guys.   Gotta go hide from the spoilers again.

Well see thats the damn dilemma right there.  If there going to have us RP are character more- lose the voice and give us more options. If there going to have him voiced; keep the limited options but have the VA sell them like a mofo, If i cant rp one iota because he'll instantly break whatever avenue of thought I had just made for him; atleast let me like the character they created- if they arent giving me any control.
