Who would replace Jack if she were to be killed in ME2?

Samara? Tali? Thane? Zaeed? jacob?

Samara/Morinth most likely.

I agree that it is UNLIKELY that Miranda would use THAT situation to get rid of Jack, but she doesn't have to be actively trying to kill people for aliens or former Cerberus test subjects to doubt that she may be totally committed to their well-being. You have to remember that they weren't able to have all the touching heart to heart conversations that Shepard can. From what was displayed, her interaction with them is pretty much, "I'm Shepard's second and we do things THIS way here!"

As was the case with Wilson, Miranda isn't above executing someone she thinks is a danger to her mission. And her prologue conversation with TIM, especially if Shepard let the council die in ME1, definitely shows a Miranda who happy that humanity was able to step over thousands of dead extraterrestrials to claim their rightful place at the head of the council.

This may be nerdy thing to say but I don't care. I just love and makes me excited to see all these people who love Miranda as much as I do it's really awesome.

Who has had a playthrough where all of the abducted Crew Members die? Is that even possible?

If you don't send an escort with them, they all die.

^ I thought they all die if you wait a very long time before starting the SM.

I did. It was because I wanted to take Legion to the Migrant Fleet. I shouldn't as I nearly facepalmed myself to death at the way THAT "conflict" played out.

Dr. Chakwas is the lone survivor and we get to see Kelly turned into grey goo, although the doc can die too if you don't send someone back with her to the Normandy.

Miranda, if I remember correctly, did not question the decision. This was a suicide mission, after all, and killing the Collectors was number one.

Saying nerdy things is not a problem, in fact it's practically a requirement for posting here Image IPB

I have a "two nerdy comments per day" quota that I like to fill Image IPB

Do some of you like having deaths in the SM because you figure that it's more natural?

It depends on my Shepard. Paragon definitely wants everyone to be happy before going on the suicide mission for all that good karma. Renegade Shepard did NOT metagame, so she only did the loyalty missions she felt were good for setting up tactical military advantages in the future. Help the Krogans and the Geth? Sure. Waste time on helping Jacob, Thane, and Miranda cope with their family lives? Nope. Off we go to blow stuff up.

Miri's LM, and EVERYTHING else regarding Miri is a TOP Priority for me.

I've never confused any of my Shepards with myself, nor am I unwilling to screw over a favorite character if I think the hero I am role playing would do it.

I do sometimes skip LM's. ME2 is getting a bit old. I tend to prefer killing via stupid choices and pretending crewmen died for more logical reasons.

Sounds like you should just jump to a different game at this point. Too much of one thing gets repetitive.

I think is cool to try out all the game variables at least once, even if a favorite character suffers. And then, here are just some times when you get a feeling that letting Grunt lead the fire team just might be a good thing...

...if just to see Miranda's reaction.

Like? Not exactly. But it's a suicide mission. I think having a casualty or two is more realistic. Nonetheless, my canon playthroughs have no deaths (possible Garrus is dead in one. I'd have to check.).I want to see all these people again in ME3.

Her reaction to selecting Jack: "You've got to be kidding". Indeed.

No Miranda in ME3 is a no-go for me, even for my femSheps who don't romance her. So I always do her LM. In fact, I don't skip any LMs. The decisions I make on them, they differ.

Not even Grunt's?

I've tried and failed to skip her LM. See, I inevitably begin to feel sorry for her afterwards and there goes my plans to see her replacement instead.

Not even Grunt's, though it's such a chore. I'm too much of a completionist. I cannot skip anything. It goes so far that it's hugely annoying that I cannot finish one very minor miniquest on Illium because the area isn't accessible anymore and I forgot to do it when I was there.

I'm on her LM right now. Let's see if I manage to not encourage her to talk to her sister. Well, I probably will, the real problem is to resist the temptation to reload and replay.

I couldn't keep Matt from encouraging her. I think I'll have to wait and confirm that Paragon is irritating. Really, keeping the CB and having her shoot Niket ought to count for something.

How many would be upset if Miranda's outfit never changed? And how many would complain if she radically changed? Like a Isabela situation. Different actress. Different costume. etc.

A different actress would be very problematic for a lot of people, I have no doubt.

Anything that is done or not done to the outfit will be controversial as well. I think it will be interesting.

I like Jack and Miranda, they're both well-written characters with interesting stories. The thing is that the Loyalty Conflict really isn't a shining moment for any of the parties involved. What sort of saddens me is that Jack really grows as a character in ME3, and Miranda has realized that Cerberus isn't as benevolent as it appears. There's this oppertuinity for both of them to move away from the conflict in ME2 but they don't  really appear to interact.

If they went and didn't change Miranda's outfit I'd be annoyed and the same thing would happen if they changed the VA. Changing the VA wouldn't be that disappointing as long as the writing remains true to the character. As for Isabela, the VA and outfit change really didn't faze me, she was a minor NPC in DA:O it would make sense that she would change for DA2.

Different VA would require a total makeover for Miranda since she's also modeled for the most part on Yvonne. If that were to happen, I'd be out. That (along with her being turned into a "damsel in distress" or being given an unavoidable death) would be something that would cause me to romance someone else.

EDIT: Same outfit? I wouldn't mind, though since she's no longer with Cerberus, that logo will almost certainly be removed, even if nothing else changes.

As I thought. I did it, but I feel so uncomfortable about it that I'll replay and like you, wait for what ME3 brings. What this playthrough has done for me is to push Miranda's LM to the end so that in case I need to replay, I only need to do Miranda's and Legion's LM, the SM and Arrival.

About her outfit, I would be annoyed if she didn't have a new outfit in ME3.
