Here's the thing: When I have the Second Romantic Conversation with Miri (where she says that she doesn't mind if we Admire her body), she mentions the she has to work and think. If I do this Conversation AFTER the Collector Base Mission, there's a LONG LONG gap between then and after the crew is abducted, which to me is the Perfect time to have the Promise seen.

If I do it like this, wouldn't you think that, time wise, the time for Miri to think would be TOO long?

This has less to do with Miranda (Unless you want to include Miranda), but-

What is your ideal (or "canon") Shepard's post ME3 status? It doesn't necessarily need to involve Miranda, or any one character.

I think I've gone over mine enough times.

I like that, it seems to fit well.  Though, I don't think it's a big deal to focus too much on the time frame because again, from a gameplay standpoint; it's only a mission or two, correct?  Also, you end up with her romance anyway, regardless of the time gap, so I don't think it's a big deal. 

Maybe your Shepard has to think about it as well, it can't be all about her

IIRC, the gap between CS -- IFF isn't that long (just a handful of missions, I think) if you don't linger.

But that's a lot of time to think. After the Collector Base, I have to do 15 side Quests, 10 LMs, Reaper IFF, and Legion's LM, THEN the crew is abducted and THEN I have the Promise Scene with Miri. That's too much time, it wouldn't make sense.

Why are you doing 15 side quests? I ignore them until I finish the game.

Anyway... do 5 LM's, talk to Miranda, do 5 more LM's, do IFF, Promise, Legion's LM, then go to the engine room.

I do all of those so I can get it ALL done before the SM. I always do all the available LMs before having that Conversation with Miri. That way when she apologizes for misjudging you, it makes more sense because of all the missions we went through. The LMs are part of the Story, Mainly Miri's for me.

You called Collider a douche when all that he said was that he didn't like the character very much which is fine. If Miranda was the type of "safe" character that everyone can like, I probrably would be the one who didn't like her. Not to mention that he actually said he supports her inclusion on the squad.
This is not just the support thread. Those who don't like her can have discussions with her fans here as long as it is done in a respectful manner.
