That's why I'm so ambivalent about her squad status. She's not a soldier. Her gifts are her intellect and organizational ability, These things are difficult, but not impossible, for her to showcase on the squad. Will I miss her? Yes. But I can imagine lots of adventures for her.

I was concerned for a while about her squadmate status, but when I gave it much thought I found that she'd be far more related to the story if they kept her interaction with the squad only when necessary and made her role more vital aboard the ship itself.
That way we she'll have a more important role in the war than being a foot soldier, and we'll get to see her after every mission and she'll join us in taking down Cerberus... also that way I get to see her giving Ahsley a good scorning every now and then

i Think Miranda is a big help in combat :0 but she is more intellect and organizational, and you forgot to say that she made the mass effect universe looks more beautiful with her, lol^_^

Which DLC are you talking about? Some are good - Lair of the Shadowbroker is the common example, others are take or leave. They'll probably all have an impact when you import into ME3 if you played them. Otherwise? Who knows?
Thanks, one of my friends talk about in one DLC a character die,but is probably lie...,i will try to buy the DLCs for have more impact in ME3!

This. I want Shepard's family line to continue. For that reason I left Liara and went for Miranda. Then the writers dropped that bomb on us....Superhize wrote...

It's a lie. The only times a squadmate has died so far in the series is on Virmire (in ME1) and during the Suicide Mission if you don't plan carefully (get all ship upgrades, do most- if not all- Loyalty Missions, and pick people for roles during the SM itself that they're not suited for).Superhize wrote...

Well with EDI a lot of Miranda's duties she did for Jacob when they worked together are done by EDI now, and between EDI and Mordin those other niches were filled. Maybe in ME3 she will get a chance to showcase her intellect a bit more. We got some glimpses in ME2, but in ME2 they really pushed the emotional side of Miranda. Hopefully in ME3 they keep building on that, but also remind us this was the women who lead and operated the Lazarus Project -- the greatest medical achievement of the era.

Heh....you can imagine how I took that. I primarily want *Miranda's* line to continue. If it's with Shepard, that's good, but if not that's also acceptable. If Miranda won't be able to pass on her gifts, I'll be mightily pissed to say the least. And the implied Aesop about the supposed evils of creating life - that's a berserk button of mine. I absolutely despise that kind of thinking, and having it attached to my favorite character....hurts. Almost physically.atheelogos wrote...

What I meant was that it would make the player's decision almost pointless, except that it shows what Shepard thinks of the situation.Arijharn wrote...
You know what? I really don't agree. I think it makes it more awesome if a character made some sort of 'independent' decision away from Shephard, and I think if any character would show a degree of independence then it would be Miranda.Ieldra2 wrote...
Yes.....but that would somehow cheapen the decision. Still, I'd take that over another "resuce Oriana" situation any day.
Miranda may decide to go along with Shephard's decision during the course of ME2, but by the time of ME3, that's apparently months ago. For all we know, perhaps Miranda's desire to connect with Oriana (despite the difficulties of the situation) may be like Mordin's desire to reconnect with his favourite nephew.
But you do have a point. It would make Miranda more independent, and that would be very good.

Ah well, if you had only restricted it to the first part. I don't want children to be part of the game, just the possibility of Miranda having children. Maybe as an option in an epilogue, and even then I don't really care if they're made the usual way or not.O Tucker wrote...

In fact at this point, having a regular cure or saying the doctor was incompetent would be a cheap solution. I'd much prefer if Miranda had to use her father's technology to make it possible.
BTW, just stumbled about the fact has Mordin has a lot of experience in manipulating other species' fertility. This should be child's play for him.
So much for the cause for Miranda's infertility to be actually plausible...
