I agree with JeanLuc. She wears a breath mask in vacuum. No justification for that.

She has a Mass Effect Field strong enough to protect her from the pressure. You guys just don't understand the advantage of advance tech. With their tech you can make the most powerful defense with the thinnest fabric for God's Sake

You can always rationalize things by inventing new stuff and adding it to the universe. That doesn't change how the catsuit comes across: as sexualizing Miranda to an insulting degree. I'm asking you: considering Miranda's personality, why the hell would she want to run around in something like this? If Cerberus can make protective suits look like this, they can surely make them look more stylish and less cheaply thrilling, don't you think. Don't you think Miranda would prefer that?

Heh....quite amusing, this latest iteration of the famous "armor wars".

If Mass Effect 1 hadn't proved otherwise, I'd be more inclined to agree with you.  In ME1, it was very much "hard" sci-fi.  Everyone wore armor; no exceptions.

In Mass Effect 2, every enemy wears armor and so do most of the squadmates.  Miranda and Jack are the two major exceptions.

I'd say that's more because most of the squadmates in ME1 and ME2 are full soldiers and mercenaries, with a number of them being specialists, fit for other roles

Of course, there's the odd exception (Liara, Jack, Thane, Kasumi, Tali, Legion, etc), but they all have legitimate reasons as to why they don't wear armor. I'll not post my reasoning for Miranda's not "needing" armor a third time:pinched:.

As for every enemy wearing armor... Well, 90% of the enemies you fight are mercenaries, and 90% of them don't have any special protections. Thane notes it himself. "You're fighting thugs who think custom painted armor makes them professional". If anything, they wear it more to identify themselves.

Come the **** on! I'm not going to be overwhelmed. I stand by my opinion. It's logical and it's sound for God's sake. I'm not going to be forced to put the Armor back on.

Then don't?  I don't see the problem.  It's not like anyone else is playing the game for you, correct?  Read what I posted above about your opinion.

Take a chill pill Luis, I admit you have a point, she is agile and can deploy a strong barrier to protect herself .

Nonetheless, the developpers had in mind with the catsuit to show her perfect feminine attributes and curves .
In a sense, I would have no problem with that, but they clearly exagerated with this though, especially the white suit .
As a refined women (and a femme fatale) I don't think she would wear such an outfit, she would wear sexy but classy clothes .

As for her suit while she is battling, it would be logical to wear an armour despite all of her skills . You might be the best soldier but you'd still want to wear a bulletproof vest on the battlefield .

No, there are some characters for whom making them sexy overrode logic. Like Miranda.

It's funny because it's completely true.

However, I am not complaining.

I'll take tech armor, kinetic barriers, and a biotic barrier over a bulltproof vest anyday.

I'll give you that: the armor is perhaps a little more bulky than it needs to be. But the catsuits with their painted-on-pants, exposed vitals and heels go to the other extreme. The fact that the armor doesn't sexualize Miranda in such an insulting way is enough for me to use it.

In the story, enemies let their eyes deceive them. They're fooled thinking that Miri is weak and unprotected with the catsuit and that she poses no threat. The ending result says otherwise.

Can we just drop this and let it rest in our opinions?

Both parties are presenting perfectly viable points. Neither will convince the other.

And I don't know about you, but sometimes the Armor make Miri look like she's a cyborg. A body made mostly by prosthetic implants, like Robo-Cop or Darth Vader. :(

I feel almost seduced by their opinions, like I'm being sucked in.

Yeah, that really bugs me. I don't mind her wearing a helmet at all where it's appropriate. Any way this can be implemented, JeanLuc?

Robocop only has a mouth, and Darth Vader doesn't even show his body until he dies.

At least Miranda shows her beautiful face.;)

I'm probably the only one who doesn't care either way.

I can rationalize her needing armor in battle, but I can also rationalize her not needing armor (Kinetic barriers, biotic barriers, agility). The only fault I find with her suit are the enormous heels, but those don't appear to be actually a part of her suit, rather than just heel-boots she likes to wear.

I just don't let it bother me, because it isn't really super high on my list of priorities.

I can't even begin to list all the things wrong with this interpretation. To start with, if protection can be this thin you can bet mercenaries would know, and not be fooled. There are no convincing in-world reasons for such an outfit in the ME universe. The designers at Bioware made it with complete disregard of lore and even the remotest hint of realism. They call that "artistic license". It can get over-the-top, and if sex is involved, it often will. Miranda is a prime example.

I am the one who tells her to wear the armor most of the time when the conditions warrant it, I am the commander after all.

I let her decide on other occasions what she wants to wear, but have told her I prefer the black catsuit (but dammit, she still keeps wearing the white one to the engine room).

I'm curious about a few things.
What was the purpose of the LotSB dossiers? (especially Miranda's) why did Bioware put them in the game?
What connection do they have on Mass Effect 3?
And I have seen several Shepard to Miranda romance lines but no Miranda to Shepard romances lines I would like to see some if anyone knows any.

It's probably closer to lingerie than her leather black suit.

I just roll with it.

LOL. Just starting up my game for the evening and realizing that of the six mods I'm running, three are Miranda-related.

I don't think BioWare ever said why they were put into the game, aside from just flavor reading.

That said, I think Miranda's dossier is almost universally hated (Even regarded as the worst one). I haven't seen anything but contempt for the damn thing, even from people who don't like Miranda. I don't blame them. I certainly don't like it. The only articles I can bring myself to read without vomiting are the extranet log and her chat with Oriana. The rest felt like it was written by someone who actively despises Miranda, and just wanted to troll her fanbase.

I miss those times when there was no Armor. When I was ALWAYS happy when changing Miri's Outfit to her Loyalty Outfit.
