I'm choosing her so long as she still manifests those traits I found interesting in the first place, especially her ambition.

Will you still choose Miranda if she likes Justin Bieber?

Yeah, I'm better at writing comedic dialogues.
The unfortunate aspect of most romance dialogues is that the paragon usually gets a hand shake while the rogue gets thrown to the mat. Just once I'd like to see a writer reverse that perverse cliche.
Yeah.
I like the feeling that I'm being supportive and reassuring to Miranda, ala the paragon dialogues in the promise conversation and the "You give your father too much credit".
but I expect more than some nice words, at SOME point.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking for a free pass into her pants, but something. Just a hug would more than suffice.

I guess what I was trying to say with that rewrite was it would have made a good counterpoint to the renegade kiss scene before it. Of course the the renegade kiss scene should have been handled better by Shepard (still thinkiing about that one). But a passionate attack on the paragon by the heroine as a counterpoint would have been appropriate after that, in essence reversing the previous encounter, putting Shepard on his heels, and laying the ground work for a much more passionate engine room scene - not really changing that scene, but the previous events as I described them would have just made it much more passionate. The added benefit is that it reverses the stupid writers cliche in a blalnced sort of way and alters the arc a bit in a way that will encourage replay.

I was totally kidding about the JB thing.
Anyways wanted to know if the Miranda/Shepard romance is totally lame (i really hope its not) but if it is would that ruin ME3 for you? would you be able to get over it?

@bold- After the renegade kiss? Or for paragon?
And the contrived (And if you think about it, sexist) cliches are getting old too.

Any guesses as to what the ending to Miranda's arc in ME3 is?

Even with the leaked material I haven't been able to avoid looking at, I haven't got a clue.
Although, I have a nasty feeling I'm going to be very discontented...

I ask because it wasn't in the leak :|
It hadn't been written, IIRC.
That picture is very grainy.

After the (rewritten) renegade kiss scene. Miranda nails him on the smackers for choosing the paragon option (gotta keep the gamer on his toes!)
blalnced = balanced Guess I shouldn't have had that second martini...

Shepard *grins*: ...So you want that to be our date? Sure, that's our date then.
Miranda *smiles sultrily*: Oh you know me so well...by the way, Oriana will be joining us. Love you! *kisses Shepard before leaving his cabin*
Shepard: Dammit...so much for action afterward. Oh well, an orchestra can't be that bad right?
*Eight hours later*

I always took that line as Shepard talking about himself. To me the line is Shepard going "Maybe your right, the Illusive Man put me in charge of this mission instead of you and I'm just a regular guy. Doesn't that bother you?" It's similar to the Renegade option for the Krogan scout on Mordin's LM. Miranda's beating herself up over not being able to take credit for her successes and Shepard goes and agrees with her. Miranda comes back and says that she does damn good work.
That's why I prefer the Renegade romance option. Shepard's not preaching about how Miranda is human like everyone else, he's admitting that yes she's amazing and that she should be proud of that.

That's a very good way to look at that. I feel a lot better for choosing that route to her heart (actually I did already).
