"I'll always want you in my life." Miranda Lawson in Mass Effect 3

More or less just because they appear to me as polar opposites, in regards to personality. Miranda is, as we know, cold and closed off, while Kasumi is a joker and incredibly laidback.

That surprises you? Watch the LotSB videos. Talk with the shaman on Tuchanka. Learn about their history. Listen to Wreav and the Weyloc Speaker. I find it almost incomprehensible how anyone can like them. If it weren't for individuals like Wrex or the rare civilized krogan, I'd say go all-out with the genophage and even as it is, at any time they're not needed as shock troops against something like the Reapers, the galaxy is better off without them.CrutchCricket wrote...

Kasumi can just go Assassin's Creed on people with her cloak.

I've never killed Wrex so Wreav is only a theoretical for me. I suspect I also don't know know which videos you mean. But nothing I know of the krogan brings on such intense dislike. They're Proud Warrior Race Guys, what's the problem? That business about destroying their civilization once it begins to stagnate? There's some merit in that. I'm sorry but you might have to be more specific.Ieldra2 wrote...

As for Kasumi I disagree that she and Miranda would butt heads. The difference in personalities isn't enough to cause conflict and Kasumi doesn't strike me as the type to entertain direct confrontation (unless it's very personal). In fact I believe Kasumi has a very deep sense of personal loyalty which would be compatible with some of Miranda's beliefs.

@bolded part- To steal a quote from Mordin- "Every species has outliers. Geniuses. Idiots". Wreav and the Weyrloc speaker (And the Weyrloc in general) are monumentally idiots. I'd also toss Gatatog Uvenk up there as well. The krogan do have their fair share of geniuses though, Fortack, Okeer, Wrex (And possibly Grunt. He's a fast learner, he's just a newborn. He displays more intelligence than the average krogan, along with the heightened bloodlust)
There are a number of non-hostile and non-idiotic krogan as well, if the fatherly-type krogan talking about his son on Tuchanka is to be believed, or the Urdnot scout.
Not all of them are "RAWR kill kill kill rape and pillage kill kill kill"

What can I say? I like the warrior class, though Tuchanka's is admittedly a little harsh.

Nuclear winter has that effect on people.
Have you played any of the Fallout games?
edit: Actually, I believe part of the krogan culture/history was inspired by the Fallout games.

"i...okay?" what?
I don't have time for a sudden "strange" reaction from a recipient.

As far as physical strength goes...maybe. Of course, Grunt thinks that way about everyone because he's essentially a thousand pounds of pure muscle and fighting spirit.MASSEFFECTfanforlife101 wrote...

But I would imagine Miranda's mental strength and conviction would impress him.

Who? Miranda? I highly doubt he think's she's weak, just small.
Then again, he thinks everyone on the Normandy is small.

Exactly that's the problem. I have an intense dislike for such cultures. The krogan come across as a species of bullies, and ever since the invention of firearms, the best answer to a bully has been a bullet.CrutchCricket wrote...

Fair enough. I was just offering some potential insight that not every krogan is a brutal killer, though most definitely are.
