Imagine playing a Chess Game with Miri. Miri would beat me countless times.
I could see Miranda winning a fair number of tournaments, to say the very least.
On chess, I wonder how an EDI v. Legion game would commence...

All she needs is a paper clip, a rubber band, and a bendy straw.

I don't think that's a particularly difficult task.
A lot of people can make Shepard look dumb, without much effort.

I never liked that line either so I stopped taking her with Shepard on the final battle.

What activities are Miranda better at, and which are Shepard better at? Purely speculative and hypothetical, of course.

Depending on Shepard's class, marksmanship and biotics would be possible competition activities. Also sparring.AgitatedLemon wrote...

For this speculation, Sentinel. (Can make your own choices though)
So he's... decent with biotics and not bad with tech. He's still above the line when it comes to general soldiering.

In a case like that...Miranda and Shepard are both slightly "above average" for Biotics, so I'd say biotics and sparring would be good general competitions.AgitatedLemon wrote...

Miranda actually notes that she's a very advanced human biotic. I'd say she's a stronger biotic than Shepard is (Regardless of class), but not on a level like Jack.

Think Miranda would whip my Shep's ass at scrabble.
I like to think that when it comes to any game involving strategy and creative play, Miranda would win 9/10.
so Scrabble, Boggle, Chess, etc.
I like to think my Shepard can out-gamble her though in a game of Poker or Hold'em.

Shepard is in his quarters doing something immature and childish. His romance walks in (Doesn't have to be Miranda). What do you think would happen in the ensuing talk?
Mine is-
*Shepard is sitting at his desk, playing with his model ships*: *Pew Pew Pew noises* Take that Sovereign! You'll never take me alive, you space-crab bastard! *Whoosh*
*Imitating Sovereign's voice*: *Death noises* Damn you Shepard, you've defeated me and brought peace to the galaxy, at least for now! *Death noises*
*Miranda walks in, sees Shepard playing with toys*: Shepard, I needed to speak-- ... What are you doing?
S:
M: I just heard you say "Pew pew pew" and "Whoosh" and imitating laser blasts. Were you playing with your toy ships again?
S: They're not toys! They're replica's!
M: *Facepalms* Why do I put up with you?

Jack: "You're so f***ing weird."
Tali: "Shepa---"
Shepard: " Tali! It's not wha------"
Tali: "So, THIS is how you come up with strategies"
Shepard: "....."
*Tali falls against the bulkhead, laughing herself to tears at Shepard's expense*
...that's about all I got.

When I do my canon run, I'll just have to do a bit of rp'ing at that point. In my headcanon for my MShep, he and Miranda go way back and he knew even prior to the events of ME1 that she was Cerberus, so he bacame pro-Cerberus himself (at least Miranda's ideal Cerberus anyway). Though during the events of ME2, due to the Collector Ship and Derelict Reaper missions (and in a sense Horizon as well), he'll become very wary of TIM and I'll just imagine Shep and Miranda having off-screen discussions regarding Cerberus and when Miranda resigns at the Collector Base, it won't seem so OOC.Ieldra2 wrote...

I think it depends on your Shepard's outlook. I opposed Cerberus pretty much every step of the way so to hear her say something like that made me smile.GodWood wrote...

Still, I'll grant you that it seems slightly out of character for her to make such an extreme snap-judgement like that.
I understand why anyone's Shepard might like Miranda resigning, and I understand why some players like it. However, it does go against established character traits in such an extreme way that it's suspiciously like pandering to Paragon sensibilities without regard for character integrity.
@wright:
The problem is that I could accept her resignation as in-character if it was based on "I know too much about TIM and what he'd do with it. That's going to be more risk than benefit to humanity." But it isn't. If you consider her betrayal line, It is a moral judgment made in a moral domain that isn't even based on actual harm but on notions of the sacred, against a strategic reasoning that suggests that unless new facts materialize, it would be highly useful to keep the base. That's so totally not Miranda that I can't see any defense of it as valid.
(At least you can get her resignation without the "betrayal" line. That's at least bearable. The downside is now that you've got *no* explanation for her radical change of allegiance)

I'm surprised how absolutely stunning she looks here and how much difference the higher resolution makes. It's as if the picture will jump out of my screen and become real the next moment.
I think this will become my canon run. And I'll make more screenshots as I play. I'm not yet past Horizon.
