Oh yes Katie Shepard would do ALL that you mentioned without a hint of shame. And so much more.
i.e. Grabbing Miri's ass in public while making all sorts of noises

And I can't imagine your ME2 love interest being angry or hurt at Shepard for having an old lover. Unless it's Jack, because she's not all there, you know?

... I'll admit, I'd do it once or twice. After all, her luscious backside is just asking for a playful spanking.
And explain these "noises" you speak of.

But at the end of the day, it all depends if *your* Shepard truly loved them to start off with. Mines did, and therefore he decided to wait until they actually have the chance to sit down and talk, and try to sort things out.

Shepard died.
Unless you're saying the ME1 romances are weird necrophiliacs telling their friends that they're dating zombies.

The letter opened closed doors. The relationship isn't over, just yet. Although you'll get the chance to shut down the relationship for good in ME3, if that's what you want. I would really love to get into that with you, but the VS and Horizon really having nothing at all to do with the Miranda thread. Wouldn't want to steal the spotlight.
And Ashley probably will give you sh*t for cheating on her in ME3, but it's only because she still cares. Miranda on the other hand... I know a lot of guys who romanced Miranda in ME2 and are looking to get back with Ash. I wonder how Miranda will take it? Probably professionally of course.

Hurt but take it in stride definitely, I don't see her showing much emotion in front of the player after he makes that remark.

My theory: Mordin. He's Mr. Genophage, sterility should be something he does on his tuesday mornings.
This theory I can accept! I would also accept Miranda doing some research into her problem on a scientific level, she is intelligent. I would have loved to see Miranda and Mordin working side by side coming up with medical data/reasons/solutions on what's wrong and how they come up with a solution or understanding together. I think it would be cool to explore. Miranda even expresses as much... she envy's Mordins work with STG...
Even if it isn't cured, at least hinting to a potential cure would be good food for head canon.
Shepard: Miranda, you know that the Shadow Broker had a dossier about you....
Miranda: Yes. I know, i know what's in it and I know you've read it. What about it? Any problems with my history of one-night stands?
Shepard: No. It's more about your......condition.
Miranda (sighs): Look, Shepard, I'm not made of glass. If something about that bothers you, you can come out and say it.
Shepard: Sorry, I was trying to be careful. Thought it was a sensitive issue.
Miranda: Do you really think I couldn't find a way around this if I wanted? I brought you back from the dead remember?
Shepard: Actually, that's what I wanted to ask about. In the dossier, it sounded like its irreversible. And that makes no sense.
Miranda: Not my finest moment I know. But I'll explain.
Miranda: Back when I was with my father, there were times when all I wanted was to be like every other girl. Just to make the pressure go away. Sometimes, when the stress and the consequences of failure are greatest, that flares up up again.
Miranda: I don't know what got into me two years ago, but I got hung up on the idea of having children the natural way. Like...well...everyone else, or so I thought. Until an article I read made me realize how stupid that is. Did you know most women on Earth have their children with some kind of assistance by medical technology? Not because it's needed, but because it's easier?
Shepard: So there's a way around your infertility? You could have children?
Miranda: Yes. I just don't know if I want to. Right now we have bigger things to worry about.

I agree that it depends on your Shepard how you treat this. I played the Horizon scene again yesterday, and if you choose the middle options "You sound annoyed. Is something bothering you?" and "I didn't have a chance [to contact you]. I was in a kind of coma for two years while Cerberus rebuilt me", Shepard is definitely not a jerk or something. On Ashley's side, though, things go down the drain as soon as Cerberus is mentioned. I think you can plausibly treat that as a break-up. Reading the letter later, I thought "Sorry, Ash. Too little, too late. Perhaps we should've never started this".MegaBadExample wrote...

As for how MIranda would react if you broke up with her to go back to Ash: She'd turn cold. Back to Lazarus Station Miranda.

Moreover, it seems you can roleplay as a Shepard not pleased to be back with the Alliance .
BTW Ieldra, your dialogue about her infertility is great, I wish we had that kind of scene in ME3 .

Absolutely. If you look into our Miranda wishlist in the OP, it's #1 that her independence is retained and even enhanced, and as opposed to almost all other wishes, this one has never been questioned by anyone.MassEffect4Eva1710 wrote...
Ok I just thought of another topic. Feel free to contribute. What's your favourite thing about Miranda? Can be anything you want. But I swear, if anyone says "DAT ASS!" I'll scream.
Anyway, my favourite thing about Miri is that she is independent. I mean no offence to the other LI's but to me they all seem a bit dependent on Shepard. I mean, c'mon, Ashley calls him a god! I like how my Shepard is on the same playing ground as Miranda. It's a nice change of pace from normal stereotypes...
It's one reason why I'm not overly bothered by Miranda not being on the team. It's 100% ok that she does her own thing apart from Shepard and their stories only intersect here and there. What exactly she does and why, that's a different issue and I do have a serious problems with what the existing evidence suggests. But everything will be answered in six weeks.

Somewhat off topic, but does anyone know if there is any interaction between your ME1 LI and Miranda when you first meet her in ME3?

I honestly do not know how she would handle it. I have a theory, but part of my brain is nagging at me, telling me "She probably wouldn't act that way".
edit: I should stop calling these things "Fun ideas". They're pretty grim.

Tell us what's your theory on this, I'd like to know .
I think if she would seem/try to remain self-composed in public, she doesn't show her burdens and grieves, she is a strong women . However, she would be devastated in private, maybe with Oriana .

That's actually pretty close to what I had in mind, but I keep telling myself that Miranda probably wouldn't show that much emotion about it -- At least at face value, even to Oriana. She's torn up about it, and it will linger on her mind, but she isn't going to display it.

Fun idea: Assuming Shepard and Miranda are together in ME2 and ME3, how would Miranda take receiving word of Shepard's death?

I believe that she would be very cold towards anyone that tried to comfort her, saying that she doesn't need comfort. But I believe that when she's alone she might cry and mourn. Miranda is without a doubt a strong woman but even the strongest women cry when someone important to them dies.

We don't know since there isn't any banter or interjections in the leaked script. I think the script containing those wasn't leaked. But I can't imagine that if you bring Ashley to your first meeting with Miranda, there won't be any interaction.AgitatedLemon wrote...
