Miranda's remark to Jack about her being a mistake is a little jarring.
Yes, it is.
Control chip anyone?
A reasonable precaution. She was just being cautious.
To judge her strictly on moments that aren't "pretty" means that you lose out on a great character.
Ash is also a great female character to me. Will Ash say something cutting about Miranda? Potentially. Especially in the game where Shepard was with Ash and now with Miranda.
Can we wait until the game comes out, the dialogue (if it is really in-game) is heard in the context it was meant, see the whole of where they lead Ashley and then make a judgement?
I can give you the context if you want.
Ashley has qualities and faults, just like Miranda or any other in the trilogy. However, had Miranda been in favor of what happened in Pragia, I would not be here. Despite all of the other great things about the character, I could not forgive her for it.
The same thing applies in this situation. What Ashley says is absolutely inexcusable. She either apologizes or I'm no longer a fan and my Shepard would not spit on her if she was on fire.
With that being said, I am not trying to pick a fight with the fans of Ashley. Like I said, she has qualities.
