Here's just something funny I noticed a long time ago, but never bothered to post:

Lazarus Station: when Shepard tells Jacob that someone named Miranda has been given him instructions, (s)he actually doesn't know Miranda's name yet. She never introduces herself, and the only time her name is spoken is by Wilson in the premature wake-up scene. Once. I find it highly unlike that Shepard makes the connection, if he even remembers the premature wake-up.

I have a question that has been messing with my mind.

How can Miranda be a biotic ?

maybe is something that i misread or some there is wrong info ... but miranda is born a year earlier than the first element zero exposures (this according to the timeline http://masseffect.wi...m/wiki/Timeline )

Maybe i missed something in her dossier or in the codex ... I have read though some fanficition stories and they say something about a Krogan method to become a biotic that they implemented on her (sorry i can't remember the name of the story and i seem not able to find the link :( ), but i don't know if that is something based on real info from BW or is it 'fan fiction'.

Any reply is apreciated :D

Yep. An old problem we debated at some time.

The proposed solution - adapting the krogan procedure - is the most canon-compatible solution we could come up with. A surgical procedure by which krogan could become biotics is mentioned somewhere - I think it was in the ME1 Codex - so this part is established lore. That it was used on Miranda is fanon - fan-created pseudo-canon to solve a contradiction in the established timeline.

As for its role in fanfic: The procedure is described as very dangerous, so it is often used to create painful experiences for Miranda in her childhood, illustrating her father's ruthlessness.

Thank you for your reply this makes more sense now ;)

I hope that we get some info about Miranda soon ... the wait is killing me ... at least with the release date being in March we can hope that Bioware takes their time to please all of the fans (well most of us anyway ... all is a very big long shoot) .

And maybe they can make that awesome game that they always wanted, to make the ultimate shooter RPG with an Awesome story that keeps us on the edge ( at least we have half of this ), hopefully it will a game that will be remembered throughout the ages ( i hope I am not sounding to hopefull but i am an endlles optimist :D)

I do have the alt appearance pack 2 but I never use it. It's awesome to see while in combat (aka; most of the game) but it just looks so incredibly stupid for her to be wearing full plate armour while she's sending reports off to the Illusive Man.

It's like, the mirror image of the old problem!

You do know that you can change the outfit in the team roster screen of your private terminal between missions? Inappropriate armor is only a problem when you jump directly from the end of a mission to a "Miranda's office" scene, i.e. in the Jack/Miranda conflict.

Yep, but honestly I find that way to much of a pain in the ass to do.

And Seboist, the times where Shep addresses TIM in full combat makes sense considering the circumstances, so funnily enough I don't really have a problem with it.

given that he's only seen one woman since dying, i expect the mental leap was at least considered.

Added links to Vertigo_1's visorless Miranda and JeanLuc's hi-res mod to the OP.

I'm taking an extended break from BSN starting Monday to get some work done, but I'll still check my PMs. Feel free to PM me if something needs to be changed or added to the OP.

Well, before meeting with Jacob, Shepard can find one videolog of Miranda; which could remind him of her face and recognize her voice as the same one that was telling him where to go; and one audiolog from Wilson where he refers to Miranda as the "project director".
Since we know that Shepard does remember his premature wake-up; he alludes to it at least twice when talking to both Wilson and Jacob; it's not too much of a stretch to think that Shepard simply connected the dots.

You need to have DA:O or DA:2 registered.

Don't forget, 6 March 2012 is the U.S. release date.

9 March 2012 is the European release date.

I'm pretty sure Miranda says her name to Shapard while guiding him around the station.

That's just it. She doesn't.

He can only know her name by implication, either by recalling her name being said by Wilson at the premature wake-up, or from Wilson's log (not from Miranda's, since she never says her own name there).

I'm going to have to agree with MisterJB on this one.

I think Shepard just remembers her voice, along with her name, whether it be from the near-waking experience, Wilson's log, or a combination of both.

I know this fan club has probably spoken at this before but I still do not know why Miranda does this but.

Why does Miranda do it with Shepard in the engine room?

Because she likes to mark her territory. She's telling Tali that Shepard is hers lol

Another Lazarus Station rare thing : Miranda says that there's only one shuttle, but before opening the door and get Wilson killed we see like 3 or 4 shuttles in the room.

About the engine room question: Because everyone have to know that Shepard is with her xD. Or maybe because that place can't be bugged.

The scene happens in the Engine Room even if Tali was never recruited.
It's because the Engine Room is the only place on the Normandy with privacy. The Cerberus bugs and cameras don't work near the Core. Remember when Tali takes Shepard there to conspire?

Hopefully privacy, though after that jealousy dialogue...there are days I'm convinced the Miranda I like isn't the one in the game.

Agreed on the jealousy dialogue. The Renegade version is perfect, should have been the only one.

... It's called humor, not to be taken literally.

As for the shuttle comment those other shuttles could have been damaged or otherwise un-usable given the situation that they were in.

I can see Miranda being a little jealous or possessive... I've explored this in my story fic, I have Miranda giving Jon a mezmerizing kiss on the lips with tali present...Tali wanted to speak with Jon private about something Miranda did...

Another part... Miranda slips her arm around Jon bare chest when Tali comes to visit Shepard in Miranda's quarters. Tali's all gaga over seeing Jon bare chest, running his hand down his bald head and neck :D

If you choose  "You're hard to compliment". when extablishing her romance, Miranda will say this if you are already romancing someone else:
"If it's going to go anywhere, everyone on this ship need to know that you're mine."

On the other hand, if you accuse her of being jealous and kiss her, she will say this instead:
"And if you think anything like that's going to happen while you're doing the same with someone else, you're very mistaken"

Which is much better, IMO. It shows that Miranda is strong, very willing to leave Shepard if he intends on sleeping around and that she is used to men who want nothing but sex from her and that Shepard means more to her than that.
