Anyone know a good image hosting site that doesn't change resolutions to sh!t and is also free? Got some nice screens from Kasumi's loyalty mission but I don't want to resize them and my steam's getting full.

Miranda is a high-ranking Cerberus officer, answering only to TIM himself. The Alliance classes Cerberus as a terrorist organization, and the Council says that working with them is treason. If Miranda were to be arrested for whatever reason, will would be an appropriate punishment for her, if anything? And just how much responsibility does she have for Cerberus' more questionable actions?
One of the reasons I've been kicking around the idea of Miranda joining the Alliance after the war, even though I don't particularly like the idea, was that similar things happened after the end of WWII. German scientists have their party memberships expunged so that they could work for the Americans.

Miri says this when you want to know if she "Has A Minute" again RIGHT AFTER the Conversation when she says, "And perhaps I wouldn't mind if you Admired my Body...."
Instead of Miri saying, "There's a lot to do Shepard. Maybe another time," she says that, because the Romantic Relationship starts Growing Further.

It would almost certainly depend on what they catch her doing and their prior suspicions, providing the Alliance enforces their laws similarly to today's police.
(Not related to an arrest) I could see her joining the Alliance if she HAD to, but not just leisurely. I think she'd definitely rather run or be a part of an STG-type black ops group.

Of course, Miranda is not some footsoldier. She is a brilliant scientist, possibly with the funds of the richest human in the galaxy backing her up and she could have the advantage of having left Cerberus before the arrival of the Reapers.
She could be pardoned and work for the Alliance, I suposse. Not happily, mind you.

As for Miranda's trial, weren't there some laws that allowed an individual to be charged for each crime the organization they were affiliated with was responsible for? I imagine they might do something like that. I don't know if the Alliance or the Council has the death penalty but a life sentence is probable.

They do indeed have the death penalty. Treason is referred to as a capital offense. I imagine she could get a pardon if her wartime contributions were significant enough, but I wonder how much freedom they would really grant her. I could see an almost White Collar situation where she's forced to serve her sentence by becoming an Alliance officer.
Part of me wonders that if Shepard were present at her trial, how much weight would his voice carry if he testified for her?
I would imagine something similar to Tali's hearing, though probably not as easy.

If Miri gets sentenced to prison, my Shep will disown the Alliance (and possibly Council) for good.
I have a few ideas for a story concerning Shepard, Garrus, and Thane springing a prison break to get her out.

The council didn't seem all hot and bothered about Shepard being a (temporary) part of Cerberus, despite the Asari counciller quite clearly stating that the action was treason. I doubt Miranda will be subject to too harsh a penality, especially if Shepard and the Normandy crew back her up.CrutchCricket wrote...

Realistically, I think she probably deserves a nice long jail sentence. May none of us ever get what we deserve. She's a fantastic character with more moral sense than the rest of Cerberus put together, but she's not entirely on the side of the angels here.
... Are you saying she SHOULD get a long prison stint?

i know Cerberus is a corporation but can TIM be considered a dictator?
I don't think so.
He has the final say in what happens in each cell, but he tends to allow the cells a fair amount of wiggle room when it comes to HOW they do their jobs. And he never particularly gives me the dictator-esque vibe.
Like Miranda says "They just give me my resources and say "Do it". She never really mentions if TIM sets any parameters regarding the missions, aside from "Get it done."

So far i'm not really impreesed with the earlier announcements. I mean I dont dislike the already confirmed characters but I never got to play Mass effect 1 since I own a PS3. So it would really be nice to have a character introcduced in Mass Effect 2 show up as a permanent squad member and not just some minor side character.

Objectively speaking, if she were a real person? Probably. BW is understandably vague about her dealings with Cerberus, but she's probably a murderer, and there are hints she has no problem with what some would consider torture. She wasn't acting as an agent of the state, either. I think TIW is a cool idea in fiction, but I'd want real life Mirandas to face justice.
I just have to disagree with the bold. Mainly from given dialogue and lack of explicit information.
If she were real, I'd want her to face justice as well, but depending on her non-Cerberus actions, I wouldn't act all- "Off with her head!". I also feel the need to ask, do you mean "Real" as in, the present day? Or "Real", as in, if ME were real and we all lived in that universe?
Now that I think about it, the ME-verse seems much more lenient to horrible crime than our world.

She is not (To our knowledge) a permanent squadmate.
That isn't to say BioWare didn't add her in at the last second, but they almost certainly didn't.

I see no reason to differentiate my opinion on this between real life and fiction. If I approve of her actions, I approve them across the board.

Unfortunately, she won't be a permanent squadmate. She'll be with us for a mission or two then it's "exit stage right."Mark of the Dragon wrote...
