i know Cerberus is a corporation but can TIM be considered a dictator?

I don't think so.

He has the final say in what happens in each cell, but he tends to allow the cells a fair amount of wiggle room when it comes to HOW they do their jobs. And he never particularly gives me the dictator-esque vibe.

Like Miranda says "They just give me my resources and say "Do it". She never really mentions if TIM sets any parameters regarding the missions, aside from "Get it done."

who is "they" i thought only TIM ran Cerberus?

He runs Cerberus, but he probably hires people to handle the logistics and distribute the funds. I'd do that if I were him.

does Miri get more screen time/dialouge if you romance her? (in ME3)

I wouldn't say she gets more screen time, but she has the benefit of having extra dialogue, via romance.

You want a discussion topic?

Miranda is a high-ranking Cerberus officer, answering only to TIM himself. The Alliance classes Cerberus as a terrorist organization, and the Council says that working with them is treason. If Miranda were to be arrested for whatever reason, will would be an appropriate punishment for her, if anything? And just how much responsibility does she have for Cerberus' more questionable actions?

One of the reasons I've been kicking around the idea of Miranda joining the Alliance after the war, even though I don't particularly like the idea, was that similar things happened after the end of WWII. German scientists have their party memberships expunged so that they could work for the Americans.

Wernher Von Braun comes immediately to mind when talking about German scientists, we wouldn't have made it to the moon without him.

Miranda would be a similar case for me.

Now that I think about it more, I think a Werner von Braun scenario is the more likely to happen, than just an incriminating trial.

A lot of her knowledge and abilities are just too important to blindly convict her and put her to death.

Plus, since my Shepard and Miranda are together romantically, he would definitely testify for her, and they had better damn not give her the death sentence.

von Braun was who I was thinking of. And yet, I hope for something grander for Miranda, free of Alliance control.

Hey jtav or anyone...
Does TIM fear Shepard?

Fear him? I don't think so.

I do however think TIM acknowledges that Shepard is a valid threat, and one of the few people who are on equal grounds with him, hence the deployment of Kai Leng.

I mean TIM knows that Shepard is one of the few people who has a chance of taking him down (And by extension, Cerberus)

Oh. Probably not at first, but I can see him acting more and more like that as the game progresses.

Um, sorry to go off-topic or if this isn't the right place to bring it up but I don't know where else to bring it up. I have a serious question and please don't think I'm trolling or whatever...

My Shepard that I'm about to do for ME3 is a bit of a ladies man so I'm also making him have a romance in ME1 too and then having Miranda "change" him and he falls in love with her, so on and so forth.

To my question...is Ashley a b*tch or racist or something? I've heard alot of things, both positive and negative about her and I actually want to know what your opinions are since I think you guys will give a me a proper, mature anwser. Should I romance Ashley or Liara? I'm really confused...

My, does that ever say we're from different generations. Von Braun was one of my childhood heros. He practically designed the Saturn V on his own. And he was definitely his own man, he practically ran NASA in the early 60's behind the scenes, by the sheer force of his knowledge, will, and personality...does that sound familiar to you?

Saturn V...Lazarus...Saturn V...Lazarus....Hmmmm....

Another funny coincidence, Lazarus Long is probably my all time favorite hero in the science fiction multiverse...and his name and life means something that can be applied to this story...

I love Ashley she was my romance in ME1 but she is extremely insecure, jealous, and rude. You can tell just by the things she says about Miranda (if you romanced her in ME2). Im sticking with Miri in ME3 but i hope my shepard and Ashley can get over akward relationship and become good friends again and as far as im concerned
she broke up with me on Horizon so i dont count being with Miranda as cheating.

Hope that helped

If you're going for a scenario like that, then I would say Ashley.

Liara, to me, seems like a good friend to Shepard even outside the romance, so I couldn't bring myself to hurt her feelings like that.

Ashley, on the other hand... Horizon. That is all. Plus the "Cheating" dialogue Ashley says about Miranda just dropped all respect I had for her as a person.

Let me put it this way: I want the equivalent of NASA without government oversight for Miranda.

Ashley isn't racist in Mass Effect. She's a human nationalist who is slow to trust non-humans. Which is understandable given the fact that her family is blacklisted in the Alliance military because her grandfather (who was an Alliance General) was the first and only human to surrender to aliens. She's also been grounded to colonial patrols for most of her military career which restricted her to working with humans. I think that she hadn't seen an alien in the flesh before the Geth attack on Eden Prime which is unusual for an NCO in the Alliance military. She is a b*tch, but in a good tomboyish way. And she's a fundamentalist with a penchant for poetry.
