Just as JB said 101. Some of us wanrs Miranda to stay truly to her persona, her same principles and ambitions. I don't want a total remake like they did with Liara (180 degrees change).

For a fictional character there's things worsth than death, and changing every they were is one of them.

Din't Bioware say much has changed since the script.

Every video and trailer I have seen matched the leak. I can't say if  there is any change.

I want everything that you all do.

I'm just trying NOT to lose all hope.

I'm Struggling here ... man I really need to get my copy of 13-2 it would give me something to work, analyze, take apart and put back together in while waiting for  ME 3

It a damn shame that only Kasumi, Mordin, and EVEN Liara acknowledge our Romance with Miri.<_<

I admit, I don't really know what's up with that. There is some good writing for Miranda in the leak, especially some of the romance material. But it must be said that a lot of the dialog is really vague and amorphous. You can't really tell what's she's been doing or what she plans to do, in most conversations.

Sometimes, it basically amounts to: "I've been doing some stuff, and now I have to do some other stuff. See you later." Actually, it's more like, "I've been getting in touch with some contacts, and now I have to look into a personal matter." But that's pretty much the same thing.

So, either, for some reason, the Miranda stuff is still a bit more rough than most of the script, or it's just not very well-written/thought out.

I can see why that Kelly snippet was so irritating to some (didn't read it until just recently). It's very detailed and specific, touching on some important/interesting Cerberus-related topics that Miranda's dialog completely glosses over. Weird.

Could it be that because Yvonne's hasn't recorded.

/facepalmgroan.

I avoided the leak because I know  it was release pretty late in the dev cycle  and this is not enough time to change major things..

This news does not help... man they better make for it with serious Crazy  Bad  Ass  Awesome and Crowning moment of Awesome moments.

I don't know. We don't know how old the script is, so it's hard to say.

Where did all this negativity come from? Only thing I can really say is wait till you play the game. I'm not saying the game will meet what your expectations are, but I'm sure Miranda will have a fitting role for her character. Me personally, I believe she can work well on or off the Normandy because of who she is and what she represents in the Mass Effect universe. She doesn't necessarily need to be on the Normandy to express her importance or develop in the right way, as other characters.

Though I do agree with the whole Diana situation, I'm still open to her because I have yet to play the game. She might be a great add to the Normandy, she might not, but it's not right to give her such a negative view without giving her a chance. I do understand that you guys would rather have her on the Normandy, as do I, but I still have the view that she is better off pursing her own goals that eventually tie in with the Reaper threat, since she can technically be another "Shepard" in a sense because of her leadership and combat abilities.

Hopefully this thread explodes with positivity on March 6th!!

You bring up some really great points.  I always thought of Miranda as a leader in her own ways.  I'd like to think that she learned some from stuff Shepard and how he lead the team...   Not saying Miranda wasn't capable but hopefully she's more confident, takes credit for what she's accomplished.  Grown...  To me she can be a protagonist... She is on Shepard level.  Miranda does say she's impressed with how the mission is going.  Makes me wonder if she was on any really ****ty mission that went terribly wrong.

I'm all for Miranda doing her own thing...I hope it's a great story!  I'd love for her show her support for Shepard and doing what she can to help him, them, win against the Reapers.  I think maybe we or I was spoiled with taking her on every mission possible in ME2 because she's such a great addition.  I hope Miranda shines in ME3 and kicks some major ass.

;)

Basically, we are placing all of our hopes on the remote possibility that Miranda's part just so happened to have been in a more rough state when this leak was written.
Not a good sign.

Otherwise all of Miranda's dialogue will be a line/line and an half long which could be an indicator of Bioware trying to make sure Yvonne doesn't have to record much.

I have to believe that Miranda is going to have a twist in her story and that part of that twist is why we are neither seeing or hearing about her. Of ME2 she was an important character so it would be hard to believe that they throw that character away.

That doesn't mean that I want her on the Normandy ... But I do want her to have an important part of the story, romanced or not. I don't think her potential death should play a factor in how she is treated ... see Garrus & Tali & Wrex & Mordin & Kaidan & Ashley. All could be six feet under but there they are!

It's possible. I would even go so far as to say I have an idea of what that might be, if it indeed made it into the game.

Regardless, what I was referring to above is dialog from the leaked script, which represents at least a rough draft of part of Miranda's role. It's extremely vague and amorphous (twist or no twist).

The tragedy is that the leak has given me a new appreciation for Jack and Kelly. I want to romance them where I didn't before. I can't imagine anyone being converted to Miranda.

From the script, what are the top 3 romances.

CALM YO ******.

Seriously, compared to Horizon, what they did with Miranda's amazing.  I mean, yeah, it sucks she's got a small(ish) role in just a mission or two, but at least she doesn't just b*tch you out and leave (THANKS, Ash).

I'm not saying Bioware made the right call, but all things considered, it could have been worse.

Anyway, the reason I came in here again: I finished my Mirimance playthrough a while ago, and for some reason I can't get the whole "invite up to cabin" thing to work.  It's like something failed to trigger--the personal intercom just isn't there.  Anyone else have that problem?

I'm not sure I could romance Jack, but if Miranda's personality gets twisted to beyond recognition, I won't care that Yvonne is still her VA. I'll go after Ash, Kelly or someone else. Luckily I won't be starting my canon run until at least a week after ME3 comes out, that way I can get the verdict on ME3 Miranda before I start.

Think you need to leave that level and come back to get it to work.
Maybe have the post suicide mission talk with Kelly and go back up to your room should work then

You know, I read the script, and I don't think Miri's being selfish.  As for the Cerberus thing, we have a certain AI and a certain information broker to help us out with that.  Maybe Miranda would have been better in the role, but still, I like her story arc an awful lot--as short as it is, it's really sweet.

Let's leave aside my tendency to interpret the romance in weird ways, which I can "turn off" as a player. Some of the old-timers may recall my rants about how I didn't find Shepard worthy of Miranda. That goes both ways. Shepard is now intelligent, heroic, and a fantastic boyfriend to boot. His partner must be worthy of him as well. And the Miranda of the leak isn't. So, yeah, if this is all there is, I'm going for Kelly or Liara.

Did you talk with her after the SM? You have to talk with her and affirm the relationship. Only then will you be able to use the terminal.

If Bioware handles it properly, this should work out just fine.  Lair of the Shadow Broker was "just a mission or two," and I personally hold it as the single greatest mission in the entire Mass Effect series, surpassing even Virmire and Ilos.

ANY character getting a LotSB-style treatment would be a tremendous honor, in my opinion.
