The author ignores a lot of the continuity and lore established by the games and the other novels. The only purpose it really seems to serve is to kill off a bunch of characters related to the novels so the reader can freak out over how much of a badass Kai Leng is.

If you absolutely have to read a Mass Effect novel, I recomend Ascension or Retribution, or if you like comics take a look at Invasion it has interesting characters, a good plot and a lead in to ME3. IMO its the best comic that Dark Horse has done with Bioware.

  that was not joke  I'm  dead serious, she went from  12 to 18 in  3 years... i have not even read the book and i'm saying WTF.

And that right there is solid evidence of how much Bioware's writers SUCK. And they actually get paid to do this sh*t.

I never did the deed with Ash. Liara was my choice for the mind/body experience. LotSB made for a very interesting triangle experience which has the potential for longevity...probably the only triangle that would work as far as I'm concerned.

She happens to be the only one my Shepard connects with, Tali is sweet, but I'm a hard charging Rebel, I need my equal, I believe I'm bad ass, so I want a chick who thinks/knows she is too. I've played Mass Effect through 3 times already and just can't wrap my head around the thought of an interest with any other, I don't want to settle for less in the 3rd game.

None of Bioware's writers wrote "Deception". They hired William C. Dietz to do it.
