You know, this is what makes me nervous about this movie that's going to be made about Mass Effect.  I had a bad feeling about "Deception" after I read the free excerpt.  If the BW writers don't have a hand in the screenplay, it's going to be awful.

Pretty much Kai Leng goes to the Batarian homeworld to secure a bioweapon designed to kill TIM and anybody who's genetically related to him. After a couple scenes of Leng being a slightly-crippled murderous bastard he gets orders to go to the Citadel to retrieve Paul Grayson's Reaper-tech filled body in order to hide Cerberus' involvement in the events of Retribution.

After that the plot goes to hell. Gillian Grayson, now magically cured of her autism sets out on a rip-roaring rampage of revenge against TIM. Then there's something about a Biotic supremacy group, but then that just gets destroyed by Kai Leng in an attempt to make the reader go "Oh look he's an evil badass".

To sum up, what the narrative was supposed to be (Gillian Grayson going out to seek revenge on TIM) doesn't really go anywhere because facing TIM is Shepard's story. Pretty much it seems like the guy wanted to write a Kai Leng story, but was told that he had to write a continuation of Retribution.

...me and the gal pals went to the Baria Frontiers to plan a beach vacation...things went awry as soon as we walked in the front door...damned travel agents...

Isn't it always so? Where Shepard goes, explosions soon follow? I like to imagine that Miranda curbs this "I like to make things go boom" tendency. Regrettably, it's one of the hardest things to roleplay a Shepard who is a little more circumspect. Too much evidence in the game against it.

All my Shepard wants to do is get all of these beautiful women together in bikinis (or less) around a bonfire on the beach with all three of the moons hanging serenely, in a star lit sky, over the crystal blue waters...that is, as soon as we finish shooting the place up.

You create interesting images, but one of them (the women, not the moons) would be enough for me. Not because of any particular virtue on my part, but the others don't appeal to me in that way.

You know, I would want that as a "secret" ending of ME3, the not-quite-serious one you only see if you watch the credits to the end.

Did you try to embed an image with [ img ] tags? If so, when did you sign up? I vaguely recall that there are conditions on embedding images. I don't know them though.
