Edit: I don't remember being able to kis her before the romance scene, when is this?

Renegade is your friend. If you pick the renegade options in the conversation right after her LM Shepard kisses her.

I like the renegade romance better, it's more of a fight for dominance between the two over Shepard sucking up to Miranda. I think Miranda would be more attracted to someone that challenges her over someone that kisses her feet.

I agreeImage IPB

Agreed, but the Paragon romance is not Shepard kissing her feet. It is empathic and gentle, but in a condescending way because Shepard never shows that he's vulnerable, too. Also Miranda remains mired in her self-esteem problems. In the kiss scene Shepard challenges her, after which she comes back saying she does damn good work. It's like Shepard says "I dare you to be the powerful woman I want", and she responds.

Here's the options I usually choose after the part about Cerberus and TIM:

Shepard: (Option "And you"): The best thing he did was to put you on my squad.
Miranda: You'd have done fine without me. I may not have believed it before, but...
Miranda: I don't have what you do -- that fire that makes someone willing to follow you into hell itself.
Miranda: My father got me the best genes money could buy. Guess it wasn't enough.
Shepard (Option "This again?"): Does it always have to come back to your father's genetic tailoring?
Miranda: This is what I am, Shepard. I can't hide it. The intelligence, the looks, even the biotics... he paid for all of that.
Miranda: Every one of your accomplishments is due to your skill. The only things I can take credit for are my mistakes.
Shepard (Option "You're jealous"): Wait a minute. Are you... jealous?
Miranda: Don't be absurd.
Shepard: The genetic mutt that the Illusive Man put in charge. Man, that must sting.
Miranda: First, it's not a competition. Second, based on your combat
records, you're practically a perfect bloody human specimen.
Shepard (Option [Kiss her]): Perfect human specimen, huh?
Miranda: Don't get cocky. I'm the one who put you back together remember? And I do damn good work.
Shepard: You certainly do.
Shepard kisses Miranda.
Miranda: What the hell was that?
Miranda: Okay, this doesn't mean anything. We just... God, I need to think. I need... I'll talk to you later.
Miranda walks away from Shepard. Shepard watches her with a grin.
Miranda: And stop smiling, damn it!

@jynthor:
jreezy's answer was slightly wrong. This is the conversation *after* the loyalty mission debriefing, i.e. the second conversation after the LM. And the option that sets you on the path to the kiss is "you're jealous". If you don't use that, you won't get the kiss option. Everything else doesn't matter, you can pick options before than as you like. No need to stick to one path.

I’m a first time post just spent a lot of time trying to read… well skim through all 1309 pages thus far, any way I prefer Miranda's Black suit over the white cat-suit or the appearance pack armor just my preference

Don't worry, we won't upbraid you for not having a comprehensive knowledge of last 1300 pages

Oh well, from the sound of it I prefer the Paragon options even though I'm mostly Renegade. No regrets.

Hmm. I honestly don't know which version I prefer. It's been brought up many times but I don't think I ever ventured an opinion. I would lean on the kiss because well... kissing Miranda is always better than not kissing Miranda.
That being said I appreciate the gentleness of the paragon and I don't find it condescending.

I prefer the kiss by a fair margin--and this is from someone who can't stand Slap Slap Kiss, fights for dominance, whatever you want to call it. He's teasing her and by teasing her, he snaps her out of the spiral of negative thinking she's in. If I thought he was really insulting her, I couldn't do it.

Absolutely. I never thought that (neither did I think Shepard meant it seriously when he said "I'm just trying to get you into bed"). In the Paragon version, Shepard attempts to pull her out of the muck, in the Renegade version, he challenges her to pull herself out. It's perfectly in line with a typical pair of Paragon/Renegade personality traits. As a general rule, both have their moments, but Miranda comes out of the kiss stronger than before, so I'd say here the Renegade approach works well.

It helps that we see Miranda angry, and the kiss isn't how she acts when she's angry. She's clearly having fun. It's not my favorite kind of romance, but it'll do.

For someone who doesn't like the Krogan much you sure do like to borrow their lines, Ieldra...jk.

+1 for this whole exchange, especially CC's comment.

My guesses are:

a) Stravoskinksi wanted more money.
B) She was too busy making a movie with Jason STAT-HUM.
c) BioWare again didn't want to put time and effort into something players might not see.

Hence the limited role.

Well, I don't really want Miri to have self-esteem issues anymore.

I want her to be Confident. The only problem is that with Shepard saying "I trust you, but I don't trust Cerberus. Your experiments crossed the line," "The best thing he did was to put you on my squad," and "You always bring up your genetic tailoring. It really bothers you, doesn't it," THEN saying the Jealous line makes Shepard sound bipolar.

How can I see this in a different and more supportive way so that I can say the Jealous Line?

Edit: @ BillsVengenace It is STRAHOVSKI

You really don't want to know how long it took me to get her name right.

Something much on my mind: how much would you sacrifice for a romantic happy ending?

What I wish their was is a "I agree with Cerberus, but I don't trust TIM" option. Playing through with James, my Cerberus sympathizer Shepard the responses where you support the organization boils down to either a) They're right this time or B) They're actually doing something about the state of the galaxy.

The line that I really like out of all of the "I support Cerberus' goals" options is the final dialogue between Shepard and Vasir in LotSB (paraphrasing)

Shepard: You may be a Spectre but bombing the trade center is going too far Vasir.

Vasir: Says the man who's working for Cerberus. Death camps for biotic childeren, torturing prisoners, the information I got from the Shadow Broker saved lives what's your justification?

Shepard: Someone needs to look out of human interests, and that's what Cerberus is doing.

I will sacrifice a lot, but not mankind. I don't have problem sacrificing aliens, but if I have to choose betwen Miranda and the future of humanity, I'll choose humanity, It's what she'd want.

Btw, we can say one thing from Cerberus, they aren't doing what is right. Doing right things won't save humanity, they are doing what is necessary.

Would depend on a number of things so it's difficult to say. However my definite "will not sacrifice" list is:
Kasumi
Liara

Hmm, rather short if I'm being brutally honest.

And @ Ieldra2 How do you know that Miranda "remains mired in her self-esteem problems" if you choose the Admiration option??

Saying, "I can't admire your Body or your Mind? You give your father too much credit. Yeah, he gave you gifts, but you can be proud of what you've done with them." can give Miri confidence as well.

Like I said in the previous page:
Shepard saying, "I can't admire your Body or your Mind? You give your father too much credit. Yeah, he gave you gifts, but you can be proud of what you've done with them." fits me better than the other, because I would say something Quite Similar to this in Real Life if I had the Proper Chance.
