I was hoping for all three. We're only getting the first one and she's not even playable I think. Which is going to be a major disappointment if I'm right.

It woud certainly appear that no one other than the core squad members is playable. Which is not really unexpected. But anyway, that does appear to be how it works.

I mean c'mon though they've had the tools laid down for them since 2007. I know it's hard work, but I thought that that what the delay was for. Injecting and finetuning as much content as possible while the Montreal team would work out Galaxy at War. 8 months after the delay and I find out it's not the case. 33% of the cast gets the shine while other long time fans are left in the cold? Don't mean to sound whiny here, but damn they had a long time to NOT deliver.

Seriously what I asked for isn't unreasonable. Please tell me if it is. 2 missions (Dracon Trade/Hagalaz) , a confrontation with Jack Harper giving the character her much needed professional closure, and finally being playable for the last 20-30 minutes of what will be a memorable series.

I expected at least the same thing

Trust me, my shipping it in spite of the xenophilia, not because of it. I just like the way their personalities mesh.

And Shepard is not Cerberus.

So? By pointing out that Liara is the SB, I'm saying she can do FAR worse than Miranda can.

I stopped liking Liara after Redemption so my opinion would be biased. Though Miranda does seem to be an asari fangirl.

I wouldn't go so far. Miranda appreciates their culture but she also acknowledges that the asari can be a very arrogant species.

Having kept vaguely up on news I had sadly come to expect a reduced role for Miranda but surely it's not the case she won't be playable at all and simply be an NPC for her story bit?

"Temp squad mates" is essentially a misnomer. There are squad mates and NPCs, basically. To judge by demos and so on, the non-squad members may follow you around and do some shooting for brief periods, but for the most part they are not involved in combat.

Example: in the Sur'kesh mission from the demo, when a Cerberus Mech shows up, Wrex can't land (he's in a shuttle or whatever), and Mordin is trapped in an elevator or something.

This. Noting how Liara talks about Miranda in LotSB (If Miranda is romanced), I'm not so sure she'd want to tap that.

-.- You mean the snappy comeback she has for every romance option if you romanced Liara in the first game?    I fail how that specifically shows how she dislikes Miranda outside of the situation. Of course she would be extra angry that Shep's essentially cheating on Liara with the person she gave/entrusted Shep to.

What? I never once mentioned a Liara romance.

And quite frankly, a Shepard/Liara/Miranda triangle makes Miranda look either spineless or pointlessly cruel.

How would Miranda take a poke in the belly button?

I don't know why, but the only thing I can think of is the Pillsbury Doughboy's obnoxious giggling.

A triangle is insulting. These are 3 decisive headstrong people we're talking about. I can see it happening as a one time thing, but becoming an actual situation would be turning the space opera into a soap opera.

Miranda knows why Liara is being very distant with Shepard. She could solve their relationship problem if she chose. Not only does she choose not to (which is fine) she starts a relationship with him.

Actually Lemon might have a point. Not the snappy combeack but the "She was so cold when I first met her. Completely focused on her duty." which is, clearly, meant to be intepreted as a fault in Miranda's personality. At least in Liara's opinion.
Maybe this pairing wouldn't have worked before ME2.

Of course she would be extra angry that Shep's essentially cheating on Liara with the person she gave/entrusted Shep to.

I always wondered what Liara would say to Miranda in this situation.

Not so much angry as she is extremely perplexed.

Why do I get the feeling I took a wrong turn in Bioware land by choosing Miranda and Morrigan?  Should have gone with Liara and Leliana Image IPB

Oh well...maybe Ashley will take me back - I presume things can be rekindled with the VS?

I think it is an interesting pairing. I see them more as an awesome pair of colleagues rather than a romantic pairing. I could see them having a fling though.
