Honestly the infertility bit is pretty much pointless unless she is deadset on having a 'natural' child. We have surrogates today, heck she was made from a test tube from just ONE man.

It is just an annoying not well thought out ploy to get Shepard to feel sorry for her.

The G-Virus is my favorite fictional mutagen, but that's not my point. All I'm saying is that Miranda's predicament is shared by super mutants everywhere.  It would be interesting if you could use her sterility to talk your way out of a boss battle with her dad.

Couldn't she just take her DNA and do the same thing her father did? Or hell, combine her and Shepard's? Tadaa! Lawson-Shepard baby without any nasty side effects.
