Her realization that she isn't "natural".
Wouldn't that solidify the notion that there isn't anything inherently special about the human organism? She knows she's unnatural, but she's aware of her origins.

I was more or less saying that if she had believed in a prior deity, it would be shaken.
Well in that case I agree with you. Perhaps a preteen Miranda would've entertained the idea momentarily, but I think its pretty clear that she matured very quickly and very early on in life.

What would suggest that she ever had a moment like that? I also thinks it takes more than a singular moment for someone to question their very reality.
In my headcanon to PV Shepard (other playthroughs are different) ...
After Miranda got away from her father she did some soul-searching as to why she was born, what was the reason that she existed. That led her to researching various theories as to why we exist, some religious. Did any strike her as the truth? No.
PV Shepard has faith and in my headcanon they talked about his beliefs but she never revealed her moment of "lunacy" as she likes to call it. She told him that she didn't believe in a supreme being ... he didn't challenge her non-belief and she didn't belittle his faith. They listened to each other and respected their life choices.
If you don't see Miranda doing that ,.. No problem. As I always like to say - Your $$$, your game.

Like, 7 times for me (That I've seen)
Then again, each time it was fun.

PV Shepard?
Piers V. Shepard ... He is the one that romanced Miranda. It's funny how different Shepards see the characters in different lights. Their best buds are different, love interests are different, motivations, etc.
At least, that's how it works for me.

Curious: How do you RP Shepard and Miranda?

Quick snapshots ....
They start out not trusting each other at all.
Then slowly they begin to respect one another - she respects his ability to lead and he respects her ability to manage.
Horizon shows Miranda that he isn't without a heart and Illium shows Shepard that she can feel deeply for others.
While they start a relationship, he does not go with her to the engine room because he still has feelings for another.

After Lazarus and meeting Miranda, he was reminded of himself in the way that he started his all alone and excelled at the challenges that were set before him. As a solitary figure, finding what he feels is a kindred spirit he easily got attached to Miranda.
Post ME3, I see the relationship going south. After Beau spends all of his time striving against obstacles so he could amount to the best person he envisioned himself as, he yearns for a life that's a bit more calm. Miranda being the woman that she is, would want a very different future. When presented with this, Beau Shepard goes back to France where he'll work with Interpol (or the equivalent of Interpol at the time) as a liaison between local governments in Europe and meets someone who's equally impressive by a normal man's standards to live for the foreseeable future.
If you think that's detailed you should see what I thought up for my cannon Shepard that romanced Jack.

For me i see my Shepard and being in love. They both know they could die anyday because their line of work, so they make the best of what time they can find for each other. I see them have having children and getting married eventually but not the typical settled down husband/housewife stereotype.

My main Shep Thomas and Miranda go back nearly 20 years to when she first ran away from home. She stayed on Earth with him for 2 years (she got him off the streetsof LA), until her father tracked her down and they got seperated while trying to get away from her father (and she subsequently returned to her native Australia and rescued Oriana since there weren't as many guards at the house at that point). They hadn't seen or talked to each other since until Miranda was tasked with resurrecting him. Now they're trying to get a feel for each other all over again and now Miranda has a "wall" that he also has to break through.AgitatedLemon wrote...

Spacer kid (Slightly retconned, father is dead, mother is same as she is in-game), every year Shepard takes a 6 week vacation to Earth to visit family. Shepard never really had any close friends, he wasn't close to his family, and did his work quickly and efficiently. In spite of this, he tried to keep a positive outlook on life, and found that he has a natural penchant for telling jokes.
Later in life, he used his positive outlook and comedic skills to develop friendships with his unit on Akuze. He was particularly close to Stephen Sunderland and his sister, Trish, both Marines. Shepard received biotic training (L2), though he spiked higher than most others in his class, and even some L3's. When Trish and Stephen were killed by the Thresher Maw, Shepard took it hard. He lost the only 2 people he had considered friends. In spite of these hardships, Shepard is an excellent soldier and a natural leader, and reached the rank of Lieutenant Commander in less than 5 years of service. He's idealistic to a point, but he isn't afraid to make the hard decisions, and will do so without a 2nd thought if there is no other way. If there's another, less brutal alternative, he'll attempt it. A basic paragade, if you will. In regards to his squad and crew, Shepard will at least attempt to get to know them, if not befriend them. He knows that he needs his men at their best, and he knows that using them like fodder isn't going to get them working at their peak.
relationship TL;DR-
1. They start out not liking each other
2. He takes her on missions, as his XO, they gain insight to each other's motives and how they operate
3. Shepard develops fledgling feelings, accepts her asking to help w/ Oriana
4. Miranda displays interest in him first, but also exhibits caution. Shepard respects her views.
5. During the self esteem conversation, Shepard reminds Miranda that, although she has been given great gifts, she can take credit for the things she's accomplished with them, and reminds her of the events of her LM, and of Lazarus.
6. They fall for each other. ME2 romance proceeds as it does.
After ME3, Shepard takes a light vacation, and Miranda is heading a repurposed Cerberus, backed and funded by the Alliance, but not entirely under their jurisdiction. Shepard works with Miranda, acting as an advisor and leading their army. The relationship lasts, in spite of the rough patches. Shepard will probably discuss starting a family (Neither of them really had one of their own) with Miranda and helping her circumvent her sterility. Not sure yet if they will follow through with it or not. Probably will. That's not to say that one of them is going to become a stay at home parent though.

Death Mask for squad mate in ME3!
*Grumble* I mean... Yay! Miranda! And she's in her white outfit. I've noticed she's always in the black one or the armor in your pictures.

I'm not. I understand and respect the choice you made. No point in me wasting time trying to argue something as little and meaningless as "Armor or no armor"

My Armor doesn't match Miri's Armor. That's not a problem is it? It doesn't make me less of a Mirimancer/Mirimaniac does it?
I'm trying to have Diversity in the Squad, with EVERYONE Having their own style.
Miri For Example: She has her Armor with the Visor in the Color Matching her Loyalty Outfit.
And I have the Cestral Armor with aDark Grey/Silver Camouflage Pattern, with Black Primary Tint, with and the Death Mask,

Then again, I'm the person who always defaults to the Blood Dragon armor after maxing my paragon bar. It's useful for my class, and it looks snazzy.
Garrus in his AAP armor, Grunt in his AAP armor, Jack in her loyalty outfit, Thane in his AAP outfit, etc. I like the unique appearances.
