Giving her too emotional of a scene wouldn't sit well with the character in the first place. That sort of thing has to be built up subtly and then worded carefully. Between the two of them Shepard seems the kind to break down first, and considering how wooden he's been, I'd advise hinting at it rather than just saying it.

You all know that Miranda has a soft spot so it isn't a big of a reach for her to say that.

She MIGHT say it, but she also comes off as the person who'd castrate you if you made it public.

Miranda has more than that.

Anyone with one side isn't worth knowing.

I don't think Romance Miri will castrate ShepardImage IPB. Also limiting her possibilities of getting pregnantImage IPB

She's already sterile.

And nothing says "I love you" more than a good, old fashioned castration.

There's a reason why she's filed under the Sugar and Ice Personallity Trope

Well, she'll die regardless. But I'll go for option 1, just to make her character more tragic. Something controling her and she has no way to avoid that. She could have escaped from her father, but she'll never be free from the nanites.

Who says she'll die? The possibility is there if I need it, but I'm hoping for a happy end.

Well, indoctrination is (Unless I'm mistaken) irreversible, so the only "happy" ending I can see for an indoctrinated Miranda IS death.

Rather, euthanasia, as opposed to either murder or death on the battlefield.

yeph... nothing being indoctriated gets a happy ending outside death (Saren, Grayson, the husks in general, etc).

Want to bet?

*Remember all that research data you get on Sanctuary? And the fact that this seems to be Brynn Cole's area of expertise? Nothing comes of it in-game, but slot the pieces together and you have a cure*

Grayson held off the nanites for a while before Leng went and broke his concentration. Also considering that she helped to develop a cure for death there's a good chance that she could figure a way out of indoctrination.

I'm going to pretend that doesn't exist.

Please, for once in my life, can I have a disease/condition/state of being that's not reversible or curable? I mean, really, everything from the T-Virus to the HEV to the Green Flu is either reversible, curable, or will be curable in due time.

Is it really too much to ask for a "There's nothing we do for you" type of deal?

It depends on if I need her to die for something else. Either she's cured at the cost of her health or she dies in Shepard's place.

Hey now...

Spock cries in the first movie.

*Snaps fingers*

Aha! All we need to do to get people here to cry is make them watch the first Star Trek movie! By the time it's over, they'll be bawling their eyes out in misery because we made them watch such a terrible movie!

edit: Why do you say that people here have no emotion, anyways?

I'm still wondering why so many people in here are deathly afraid of emotions. It's like they'll die if there's any form of emotion in ME3.

Emotions only make sense in a story when they've been properly built up to and the characters display them characteristically. Miranda isn't big on emotions or emotional displays. to shove them in would need a serious re-write of the character and the circumstances she encounters.
