And yeah, she claims to have some confidence issues - but these are contradicted by her organizational acumen in the game.
For these reasons, I don't about Miranda much. You have little baggage, and a contradiction. Not compelling.

That would actually be pretty hilarious if that is BioWare's mentality.AgitatedLemon wrote...

I don't thing "baggage" necessarily adds to a character. Apart from that, Miranda's confidence issues are real, you can be professionally competent while not so sure of yourself existentially. They are, however, misplaced, and there is some hope she'll learn that at last in ME3.XX55XX wrote...
To me, Miranda came off as somewhat flat. A business-like woman who doesn't have time for any nonsense. She lacks... baggage, for the lack of a better term. All of the other characters have baggage that made them more compelling as people and, as a result, offered more avenues for conversations and relationship-building. All Miranda had was fear that her sister might be hurt by her father - suggesting an immense propensity to be protective on her part, but little else.
And yeah, she claims to have some confidence issues - but these are contradicted by her organizational acumen in the game.

funny, I remember you said that in ME2 Miranda needs a better man than Shepard (he didn't deserve her). And now in ME3 Shep needs a better woman than Miranda.

Question: Will you guys be happy if the Miranda content in the final isn't that different from the leak?
She is. Not in the extend we'd like, she is not involved in multiple missions, but what she is involved in is very important to stopping Cerberus.shepard1038 wrote...
I would really like if Miranda was integral to the plot to stop Cerberus.

Not necessarily, no. That said, Miranda's unresolved daddy issues are certainly "baggage" of a classic variety. It's unusual in the sense that she was the product of her father's genetic experiments.

She gets more than Jacob and Jack. But her role just isn't important to the main plot.
Well, their's Cerberus, and-
No, that's about it, really.
Honestly, one of the most important female characters in the series, and she's dropped onto the sidelines. The logic behind it is atrocious and hypocritical, and her content is somewhat pathetic (In terms of quality, not quantity). Does anyone else feel personally insulted?

I still think she gets less than Thane (plot relevance).
What does Thane do in regards to plot relevance? (PM)

She is not.
Her missions in ME3 involve actively dismantling certain Cerberus operations.

Even if she stays in Cerberus she will leave the organization, for personal matters more than professional.

Does anyone think Miranda's treatment is the slightest bit fair (In comparison to the other ME2 characters)?
Think most ME2 characters have been unfairly treated. Hers is just by far the most jarring as her content really seems so poor.

Not really.
And the fact that other characters have a worst treatment doesn't make me feel better.
I won't forgive Bioware for the non squadmate status and the poor role she gets in ME3.

I think she's about even with Thane, and what he accomplishes happens regardless.
Thane? Really, Thane? An optional character in ME2?
