Out of curiosity, Lemon: how did you feel about ME2's script by comparison?

She wants to know.

Lol.

Honestly, for what it is, the ME2 script isn't that bad. Of course, I don't think the Collectors were very well executed, and some of the humor (Especially from Engineer Donnelly) was either stupid or painfully not-funny. Needless to say, Miranda has all my favorite lines, though a fair number of other characters are great as well. I don't really care what anyone else may think (Because it's my opinion), but I really liked the romance with Miranda.  On the humorous bits, I'd definitely say Mordin and Kasumi are the funniest.

On a 1/10, I'd give it an 8.

I wish they made Miranda less ugly. Every time I look at her face, I get reminded of Michael Jackson. This face-scanning technology they use isn't quite perfect.

Cool, thanks for explaining. Nice to find someone else who didn't find Donnelly to be uproariously funny, too. I thought I was the only one.

I agree with you through and through. Hopefully I like ME3's more, I suppose. /shrug

Remind you of Michael Jackson, of all people?

It compares so poorly Michael Jackson won't even show up properly.

Pretty much.

Going back to the script, the only joke Donnelly told that was funny was the haggis reference.

The Jackson picture never showed up, so I took it off.

Pale skin, black hair that looks kind of odd, uncanny valley moments. You can go there- if you're particularly uncharitable.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how much duo you give the script of Mass Effect 3.

ELEVENTY!!!!11one

I don't really think 1-10ing something so blatantly incomplete is such a grand venture, shepard1038.

EDIT: Ninja'd.

Tell me that there isn't some basis for comparison there.

Why are you nervous that Me3 is going to be bad?

I'm not nervous about it at all. I have expectations, which I doubt will be met based on what I've heard and seen. I've never really had a problem about waiting to play a game...it's just a game. If Bioware had been able to meet their original release date and leak a more compelling script that story might have been a different one for me.

I'm willing to wait a year or more after release to play most games.  That way I can be reasonably assured my machine will play it at close to the maximum performance (I build or upgrade a new PC about once every eighteen to twenty-four months).

I do have a serious affection for the Mass Effect story, though. That is going to be the hardest to wait for. I sincerely hope they don't screw it up and that I hear out about it in the interim...

So you think the script is bad?Image IPB

No, I don't think it's bad. As it stands (based on leaked info), I just don't think it meets the expectations I had for it compared to the previous two chapters. I sincerely hope I'm wrong about that.

My decision to wait is based more on a decision not to pay more than 'X' for any game, and timing conflicts with my job....

...plus, $70 bucks will buy an hour and a half in my aerobatic airplane, which is damn near as good for me as kinky, wild, rough, sex...

Whoa now, 55, I object on the grounds that that is clearly the most Mirandarrific Michael Jackson I've ever seen.

The outfit Michael's wearing- does it remind anyone else of the "tux" Kasumi gives you? The white stripe going across, then down? Of course the collar's better on the tux but...

I really enjoyed the one sided conversations with Kasumi, those really should have been full blown conversations...and drinks at the bar

Couldn't stop laughing for awhile at Mordin's Gilbert and Sullivan routine.
