I want a Miranda who cares about Cerberus. The romance is peanuts next to that.

At least i'm not so depressed that i think that idea is anything other than awful. (That's me being optimistic!)
Romance has a sybiotic relationship with characterisation though. A Miranda butchered and cut free from everything she should be passionate about and be involved in severely compromises any romance material that does exist imo.

Ohmy! I was watching Chuck when this woman came on screen. I thought rhe really looked like Miranda. And guess what? It was her, just blonde! Amazing how well she transferred to the game.

lol. Yeah that was Yvonne Strahovsky whose voice and likeness brought Miranda to life. I think a lot of Chuck fans were brought over by her after playing ME2.

I am among them as well. I remember I wanted to check it out for some time but hadn't gotten around to it. Then I was on youtube one night and happened to catch the clip of her belly-dancing (from the seduction episode) and I knew  I had to check out the show:D. As I started watching I began liking the show on its own merits. Bought the first four seasons after just five or six episodes. I was also impressed by the whole fan revival thing too.

Just did the Collector Base mission and took some screenshots of the Miranda romance, but none of them saved for some reason. Made this nice screenshot of her winking. Fraps hates me.

Oh well.

I seriously watched just about every episode from the Pilot to the Finale. I could probably count on one hand the number of episodes I missed, perhaps even have a finger or two left over even.

I would've preferred that to what looks like Shepard worship. They seemed like a better fit.

The unfortunate part about not having her as a li is that BW wouldn't give her enough attention to make her well rounded. However, if their main goal is to make her into Shepard's girlfriend, then that would've been better for her.

Mordin is very well rounded, and he's got maybe the largest role of any ME2 character. I want that for her, with sharp edges intact.

Good point, but once they decided to give her an actor's face and a not so subtle attempt at giving her a perfect body I think the romance path was unavoidable. Personally Miranda and Jacob would've been a lot better for the story and would've allowed the writers to get the most out of both characters.

Hey guys. Been a while since I've hit the Miranda Forum...any news on Miranda since they announced Yvonne's return? (which I'm still hyped about).

P.S. Anybody notice that they revealed Kai Leng in this trailer right at the start? He looks badass!

Not, it really wouldn't have. They could have removed Miranda's romance completely which might have allowed the writers to focus on other aspects of her character which we could argue on and on wheter or not if it would be preferable. Take into account that I said might. Miranda's romance is a few minutes long and it has no effect in the storyline.

But the Miranda and Jacob "romance" in itself, would add nothing to the story because the sides of Miranda that Shepard, as her romance, gets to see (Miranda extracting a promise out of him, for example), we would not see if it happened between her and an NPC.

Kai Leng looks like a dork. Not threatening at all. And this is coming from someone who wanted to ship him with Miranda.

That may be so, but from a perspective of the story telling, Miranda and Jacob are a better fit than her and Shepard. As for her personal story, that's the problem I've been talking about all of the characters. The developers have made some odd decision to lock off parts of the characters story if they aren't engaging in a romance with them. They should have been another avenue to experience that part of Miranda's story without romancing her, and even in that situation she should've either been alone or with Jacob.

Indeed, Mordin has a decent presence in the game (and with decent I mean more than one mission in the game).
I hope Miranda will get enough presence, though I doubt she'll have the same space in the game that Mordin has; they should've added a good amount of things compared to the leak.
From what I saw, I'm satisfied with Wrex and Mordin's presence in ME3 (considering that I already knew that both of them wouldn't be present in the team). I don't know a lot about Legion's, and overall I'm not satisfied with Miranda's presence. I hope that both of them will safisfy me, both in their presence time and (especially in Miranda's case) role and attitude.
Though I'm more concerned about the main quest than Miranda's presence. If I'll enjoy the main story, Miranda's role will be a plus or a con, depending on how they make her in the game, but will not influence (in a great way) my enjoyment. If I'll enjoy the Miranda's arc but I'll hate the main story, the game will be bad for me regardless of how good Miranda is in the game.

That's your opinion and one I most vehemently disagree with.

A character with a personality is better portrayed than one that doesn't have one. Jacob comes off as the better man between him and Shepard. Shepard at best has a quip he can throw out here and there, but that's it.

It could be truth, but Miranda's and Jacob's personalities  doesn't suit each others (like their beliefs and methods).
I'm glad that they decided to not make them together in ME3. Regardless of Shepard, they don't suit each other.

I have too, and while the interaction between Walker and Chuck ranges from adorable to nauseating, I actually like their dynamic a lot more than Shepard and Miranda.

I was watching Mr. and Mrs. Smith the other day. I think Miranda and Shepard could be just as bad ass couple together.  Look at the suttle hint with Miranda and Shepard when talking to the Eclipse merc commander? during Miranda's Loyalty mission.  They read each other's mind or thought.  ;)

I like the idea of Jacob/Miranda, but ME3 Jacob is a jackass I wouldn't wish on anyone. Shepard/Miranda, well I'm in an odd position. I don't think he deserves her in ME2, but the jury's out on whether she deserves him in ME3.

I disagree.  They both DO NOT have the same personalities.  Jacob's conscience gets the better of him. He's too goody too shoes.. :)  Miranda would shoot before asking question. Jacob would be the opposite.  He seems more on the paragon scale than Miranda would be. For example: "Wilson"
