It could be truth, but Miranda's and Jacob's personalities doesn't (added)suit each others (like their beliefs and methods).
I'm glad that they decided to not make them together in ME3. Regardless of Shepard, they don't suit each other.

You should reread what you wrote.

Thanks, missed a word.

enayasoul wrote...

I disagree.  They both DO NOT
have the same personalities.  Jacob's conscience gets the better of him.
He's too goody too shoes.. :)  Miranda would shoot before asking
question. Jacob would be the opposite.  He seems more on the paragon
scale than Miranda would be. For example: "Wilson"

I agree with you, I missed a word in my post.

Here's a question I've been thinking a lot about. Do you think Miranda would reveal any/all her Cerberus knowledge if asked? By Alliance Command say, Anderson or Hackett? In exchange for "immunity"? or something along those lines? Or maybe even to Commander Shepard? Or do you think that would be something very difficult for her to do (betray Cerberus) since she's been with Cerberus for 20 years or so?

Thoughts?

I don't think it would be difficult now that Cerberus is indoctrinating their own. Or so it seems from the Mars demo.

A character with a personality is better portrayed than one that doesn't have one. Jacob comes off as the better man between him and Shepard. Shepard at best has a quip he can throw out here and there, but that's it.

I agree that Shepard's portrayal can and should be improved on ME3, it's one of the sideeffects of being a PC, Bioware can not give an endless array of personalities for players to choose from.

However, if you can honestly claim that Shepard can only throw a quip or two, I don't know what game you have been playing. Shepard can be a staunch supporter of the Alliance or he can claim they are obeying the aliens. He can believe humans should cooperate with other species or he can support Terra Firma. He can have a debate about the efficiency of the Normandy with Mikailovich, he can humilliate a reporter with words alone, he can be for or against Cerberus, he can be frustated or hopeful. He can be an open/close minded atheist or believer, etc.

That doesn't mean I don't think Shepard should be improved and I am quite happy to see certain dialogue options in ME3. For example, Shepard can now make a claim that he destroyed the CB for pratical rather than moral reasons.

Also, Jacob does have a personality. It just does not suit Miranda's. He is not the better man, he is a naive child.
If the Reaper War forces Jacob to grow, then we will talk.

Can I pick a third option and go Miranda/Kaidan. Heh. Maybe even James/Miranda.

I wouldn't be able to buy Kaidan, James perhaps, but from the options so far, Jacob's the best fit they've given her.

Given Cerberus' current stance on galactic affairs? Not in the slightest. At least, to Shepard perhaps, probably not the entirety of the Alliance. Maybe Hackett, he's a reasonable man, and a badass.

If the circumstances were different, and Cerberus wasn't the new moustache-twirling villain? Perhaps. Too vague without knowing any details.

Speaking of Cerberus, who noticed that Shepard can wear the original Cerberus armor in ME3?
Now, this is most likely simply aesthetic and won't change anything but it has made me hopeful for a pro-human advancement path that doesn't involve Jack Harper's methods.

Ohmy! I was watching Chuck when this woman came on screen. I thought rhe really looked like Miranda. And guess what? It was her, just blonde! Amazing how well she transferred to the game.

lol. Yeah that was Yvonne Strahovsky whose voice and likeness brought Miranda to life. I think a lot of Chuck fans were brought over by her after playing ME2.

*raises hand*

I'm another one of those fans that started watching "Chuck" because of her!  :D

I have too, and while the interaction between Walker and Chuck ranges from adorable to nauseating, I actually like their dynamic a lot more than Shepard and Miranda.

I was watching Mr. and Mrs. Smith the other day. I think Miranda and Shepard could be just as bad ass couple together.  Look at the suttle hint with Miranda and Shepard when talking to the Eclipse merc commander? during Miranda's Loyalty mission.  They read each other's mind or thought.  ;)

This, times a thousand.

I bursted out laughing the first time I went through with it. Not because it was funny, but because it was friggin awesome.

Think she would do so in private to Shephard. Don't think she would betray everyone she knew in Cerberus for immunity.

also speaking of Cerberus, remember that first N7 mission where you needed to find that agent? You then had a choice to download it, send it to Cerbus or send a copy to the Alliance? I just wonder if that would have any impact?

So, today, I made a Miranda screenshot. No, I don't know why she's using an assault rifle.

Saved my girlfriend.

That's a good question. My first play through my maleshep sent the data to Alliance, no question. Second play through, maleshep kept the data for himself.  In case he needed it to barter with the Alliance.  Now that the Alliance has taken Normandy. Who knows if they(alliance) will get that data.  Maleshep will never send it to Cerberus.
:D

@Jynthor

Everyone has an AR during that scene (And a couple others as well), no matter what their weapon proficiencies are. I've also seen Tali and Kasumi with one as well, despite them obviously not being trained for it.

I just now noticed (Never thought about it before), but after Miranda falls, and Shepard catches her, Miranda returns the favor after Shepard leaps toward the Normandy and almost misses it. Just thought I'd point that out.

I sure hope so, Oleg Petrovsky or Miranda would be perfect for this. IF it ever happens though, probably Oleg because Miranda can die.

Yeah I noticed that too, wanted to make a screenshot of it but couldn't get a good angle, sadly.

Ok so, havent checked this post in bout 2-3 weeks. Ive tried to catch up on important details but from what ive read Miranda has sorta retired from cerberus and is on one last big mission to finish something having to do with her sister. In that mission shep comes to rescue her and then i got lost...somewhere i read that she actualy expresses her feelings to him when shes dying?!

Im guessing after you finish that mission for her you wont be hearing or seeing her untill the end of the game where they set sail into the sunset together, or the entire galaxy blows up.

One more thing that came up on my mind is if youve played Dragon Age 2 and if you remember the part where isabella betrays you (steals some kind of a book or so) but in the end comes back...imagine what would happen if say that part got leaked (only the one where she betrays and not the part where she returns) out and everyone went OMG shes a traitor or so...

Well in short my point is, what if there is something in between that we are missing or a part of the ending we are not getting.

Cheers :)

Between Miranda, Jacob, Petrovsky, the guy from the iPhone game and a couple of others, there's certainly enough for a reconstituted Cerberus.

I hope I have egg on my face come March.

I'm not sure if "retiring" form Cerberus is the best way to put it, but... Basically, yes.

I don't remember what happens during her death scene, so I can't comment on that.

We know she has a contribution to the end-game, but we don't know what it is or how significant it is. The ending hadn't been made public by the time of the leak.

@jtav- That new guy from the iOS app is Randall Ezno. And why do you want egg on your face? Does that turn you on?

I don't think she worked for the Cerberus she thinks she worked for. So yeah once that's obvious she'd have no qualms about sharing info. That being said she's not a fan of the Alliance so I don't think she'd start blabbing to just anybody. I get the feeling she'd respect Hackett and would even request to work with him (at least if she had to work with the Alliance). Anderson I'm not so sure about, it could take time but I think she could take a professional liking to him as well.

No. You can prevent her death if you meet her in a certain spot and tell her something (Spoilers, I'll PM you what it is).

She can live if you give her enough warning. :o
