For those of you upset that I don't find Yvonne gorgeous, if it's any consolation, I prefer Sarah's character to that of Miranda's. At least she plays better off of Chuck than Miranda does off of Shepard.

I'll reserve judgement until I get to see her. The improvements are pretty decent, but we'll have to wait and see if they gave her character any changes first.

I don't think they improved Miranda face/appearance. I mean, why do that to a minor character with 20 mins of screen time compared to another character who have hours of screen time...

They should be the Unreal 3 engine recieved major upgrades in 2011. The dynamic shadow system that was partially responsible for Miranda falling into the uncanny valley has been replaced by Epic's new Lightmass light system it uses a different set of calculations to determine how light interacts with objects.

I'm theorizing Jack is in there because BioWare made such a big deal of her redesign. Of course, at this point the lack of screenshots of the ME2-introduced squad has almost led me to theorizing that to cut costs the entire ensemble has been replaced with wireframe and they don't want us to know that until the last possible second.

Yes, but I'm more interested in textures for Shepard, Sheploo looks great in that regard but my custom Shep is almost textureless because I didn't want him to look like a zombie. And after all he'll be what I'll be looking at the majority of the game.

Jack is a character who evolved in ME3, Miranda is a character who doesn't deserve a change or an improvment (she is better in ME2 than in ME3).

I mean...*spoiler*
Jack was a convict, now a great biotic teacher.
Grunt was a newborn krogan, now he leads krogan commandos.
Legion was a geth platform, now he is freeing the geth and giving them individuality.
Miranda was a great operative, now is a sentimental women who only concern is Oriana.

The Miranda in ME3 is a shame to who she was in ME2...

I didn't know about that yet. Thank Thor, ME1/2's shadows looked terrible on my computer despite being on the highest settings. Maybe it was the resolution.

Well for her and Jacob there are some obligatory changes that have to take place otherwise it would undermine the current story as well as the end of ME2. The only thing I hope they don't do is force "sexiness" on her since that seems to be the trend they're envoking on all of their characters.

Jack's redesign was mentioned from the very beginning (Gameinformer April 2011) so I would assume PR decided to show her off only (for now)

I wouldn't call Jack's role "great." Both Jack and Miranda's stories in ME3 are an insult to the great beginnings they had in ME2.

This is me being optimistic.
If I remember correctly, there were lines in the leak that suggested that the only reason Miranda was captured in the first place was because she wasn't trying to just rescue Oriana, she wanted to shut Sanctuary down. If so, it seems that she still has other concerns beyond Oriana.
