So much rage over a video game...

I know Miranda is an awesome character, but that is all she is... an awesome character. She's not real. She will never be real.

You know, I think some people should take a break from fantasy and interact with the real world and real people once in a while. Remember, it's just a game.

We know its a game. The thing is Mass Effect is unique and we truly care about the characters not just Miranda. So dont come here with your troll nonsense. You are not wanted here troll. Leave

It's almost sad when Bioware is capable of creating 2 games with such carefully crafted and well thought out characters and subplots, and then suddenly develop amnesia when it comes to further development.

They let Mass Effect: Deception see the light of day, what else can you expect?

They didn't personally develop it.

They did however let Dietz do it, and he's yet to produce anything of value.

Oh, excuse me. I seem to have walked into the TIM thread.

I'm not sure I understand the punchline.

The TIM thread has a habit of bashing the quality of the game as a whole. To be fair, I think most of the game is brilliant. It's Miranda specifically that I'm concerned about. Hence why I threaten to kill her rather than threatening not to buy the game.

In heaven, all games have their storylines written by Christopher Nolan and Mark Boal (Hurt Locker), their cutscenes are all directed by Christopher Nolan, the dialog written by Quentin Tarantino, the VAs are cast by Bioware, the gameplay is designed by Valve, Obsidian and EA Digital Illusions, the QA testing is done by Valve, the balancing is done by EA Digital Illusions as well, and the release schedule is set by Capcom.

In hell, the games all have their storylines written by William C Dietz, Mac Walters and the rest of Bioware's writer team, the cutscene director is Michael Bay, the VAs are cast by Capcom, the dialog is written by Willie Dietz, Mac Walters and BW's writing team, the QA testing is done by Obsidian, the gameplay is done by Square Enix, the balancing is done by Valve, and the release schedule is ALSO set by Valve.

Guys, I think we're in hell.

@Joseph-

Are you saying Squad Enix doesn't make good gameplay?

Granted the last game of theirs I played was KH and KH2, and the Fullmetal Alchemist spinoff, but those were actually really good.

The writing is actually pretty brilliant overall, which makes the relative poor quality of the dialogue from Miranda seem very jarring.

Well they suck miserably now.  Anyways, Namco Bandai could be an alternative.

If this were true anything with the number 3 on it wouldn't see the light of day.

Namco Bandai sucks at everything that isn't SoulCalibur, so I could see it happening.

Here's a hypothetical for you:

If you could have Maranda back, but not in the form you were familiar with, would you take the offer? Like an android or clone programmed with her memories? A Lazarus cyborg?

Clone, sure.

Not sure about an android or a cyborg.

Is her personality pre-Oriana or post-Oriana?
