All this talk of consequences made me realise that of all of my male Shepard playthroughs where Ashley is still around, none have remained with her. I'm almost tempted to see if I can get through ME 2 without romancing Miranda...

meh i don't really see the point in retroactively replaying characters to get a supposed 'optimal outcome'... life doesn't work that way, and if you do it in-games the only person you're cheating is yourself.

edit: not saying that's what you were going to do - just more of a musing from several posters' viewpoints recently.

I never romanced anyone in any of my play throughs.

I see things differently. It's not like real life. Instead, I see it as writing a story - my Shepard's story. As such, I want control over the plotlines and my characters' influence on them as much as the game lets me. I'll play my first game with a low-spoiler approach (meaning I won't actively go hunting for them) but my main Shepard will be the one whose story I can control. As for which outcomes I choose, that depends on my Shepard's imagined personality.

Good luck with that. I haven't even made a serious attempt to do that. Works only with femSheps.

If you want to avoid romancing her, the method I use is to side with Jack and immediately persuade Miranda's loyalty back. You get to hear Strahovski in ice queen mode as a bonus.

And, Ieldra, I had them. I just keep deleting them in a fit of OCD.

You make it sound like I never played me1 at all. I play ME2 first. When I went to play me1, I stayed loyal to Miri. I was going to stay loyal to Miri anyway.

I played me1, but I didn't want a romance in me1.

Welcome. Always glad to see more players who like Miranda. Yes, generally we're nice people, but just wait for some controversial issue to come up, things can heat up considerably.

Someone else asked this question, but to answer it again, we're not sure. Other than the relatonship will continue. That s, if you don't cheat on her in ME3.

I'm with Master Chief Petty Officer Alcatraz on this one. I was ALWAYS loyal to Miri, and I still am. And no, soldier, or ANYONE ELSE is going to change that.

Ashley is dead in my canon anyway. (No offense to fans)
