Indeed, well, I was just speaking for myself. "Squee" all you want, though, I'm not suggesting you shouldn't by any means.
If anything, it's nice to see you in a somewhat good mood again

Bioware have said there are gonna be loads of temps, but so far it doesn't seem like there are any.... :|

but for now, we shall all /squee with joy in at least being able to see Miranda again.

No, but realistically, it was always likely that the non-squad members would not be controllable, for a variety of reasons.
Not sure that anyone of the devs has actually used the term "temporary squad member." Mostly fans have used it, while making assumptions about how the game would work.

It's a half second shot, you can't really tell either way. It could very well be the first cutscene where you see her before she joins as a temp.

It can be inferred that she isn't a temp, either way.
When have the devs specifically said that there'd be temps on the squad? I've seen a lot of people on the site say it, but never anything official.

It's the third time you have been told this. It is possible that, had Miranda been Loyal in ME2, she will be wearing the black outfit.MASSEFFECTfanforlife101 wrote...
. Besides, not many players like the standard outfit as much as the loyalty outfit, so why have her wear the white one.
Now, shut up! Yes, it sucks that Miranda did not get a redesign. Whining about it in all of your posts is not going to make it any better though.
You want something that say Miranda has resigned from Cerberus? How about her killing Cerberus troops?

Until recently i'd always assumed they would be controllable for their mission. I have to say it makes me despise the appalling squad which has little variety even more, now i'm forced to use them on every mission.

Gotta say...
The ME3 squad is easily my least favorite.
That might be a little hypocritical, considering the ME3 squad is the ME1 squad plus a few new people, but, oh well. Drop Garrus, and Tali, and replace them with Miranda and Legion, and I'm fine.

The Cerberus logo looks like it's stitched into her clothes, I don't think it can be removed without taking that part of the suit with it. She probably just has a spare suit or two.
Shepard: Wait, I thought resigned from Cerberus?
Miranda: I did.
Shepard: Then why does your suit still have the Cerberus logo on it?
Miranda: Because that's where the circutry for the suit's onboard radio is housed.
Shepard: Why would anyone think that making a personal comunicator in the shape of the Cerberus logo was a good idea?
Miranda: What part of "Cerberus' R&D department is staffed by fans of twentieth century pop culture" did you not understand?

The reason I've always assumed the opposite is just the impracticality of implementing all those squad powers + what happens to the second squad member when the temp joins up? + asking the player to stop and attribute squad points to powers/redo keyboard short cuts, etc. quite frequently + what is the point of implementing a smaller squad for tighter relationships if you then can only bring one squad member on a lot of missions?

The squad make up is one of the main reasons I'm not that excited for this game any more. If there are any other reveals about the story that are done poorly in the coming weeks, then I think I'm just going to cancel my preorder and wait for a price drop. It just doesn't seem as well done as I thought it would be.

At least in regards to temps it makes sense to bring them along for their personal missions, if never again.
To your points- Yes, to all of them. People did it when they got Liara in LotSB, they can do it for side missions in ME3 that won't last half as long.

Yeah, they did it there, but it was a bit awkward. In ME2, it would happen repeatedly. Not saying I personally wouldn't have preferred it, but rather that I wasn't expecting it.

They probably aren't going to reveal anything else. The last major bit of marketing I know of is the demo, which is the same rehashed Sur'kesh and Earth bits we've all seen hundreds of times.
That may actually be worse, now that I think about it. Keeping money on something that may or may not suck, as opposed to just buying it when you've formed an opinion on it.

I've heard devs say that non perma squad member will get "LOTSB style missions" I always infered that would mean they would join the team, I mean what else are they gonna do? Are they just gonna sit there whilst Shep goes of with Vega and Liara to sort out their problem?
I've also heard devs say (specificaly Casey Hudson) something along the lines of "Some characters will join you for extended amounts of time, others for shorter amounts of time and some only for a single missions"
ME3 squad is also my least favourite, I can't believe Vega go on the squad over Miranda. The only 2 charcters i'm ever gonna use are gonna be Garrus and spoiler squad mate 2.
I would deffo use Mirana lots if she was on the squad....

I am happy that they cut down on the squad size. The ME2 squad was so large, it's hard to see everyone in action during one playthrough. For example, I just stuck with just Tali, Garrus, or Mordin - all in rotations.
I'm sure Miri will have her chance to shine.
