I've heard devs say that non perma squad member will get "LOTSB style missions" I always infered that would mean they would join the team, I mean what else are they gonna do? Are they just gonna sit there whilst Shep goes of with Vega and Liara to sort out their problem?

I've also heard devs say (specificaly Casey Hudson) something along the lines of "Some characters will join you for extended amounts of time, others for shorter amounts of time and some only for a single missions"

ME3 squad is also my least favourite, I can't believe Vega go on the squad over Miranda. The only 2 charcters i'm ever gonna use are gonna be Garrus and spoiler squad mate 2.

I would deffo use Mirana lots if she was on the squad.... :(

I remember hearing something similar. I always thought the same thing, where they'd join you for a time, then continue doing their business. I'd much prefer that than just a conversation where they give me a quest, and a conversation where I turn in the quest and a pat on the back.

In regards to Vega, I understand his inclusion. He's supposed to share a POV with a player who's new to the ME franchise, being all "WTF is that? What's happening? Who are you?".

I'd definitely use Miranda all the time if she were on the squad. I used her in every single mission in ME2 (Except Jack's recruitment, for obvious reasons). She's my favorite character in the whole series. Not to mention, insanely useful, being a Sentinel and all (Of which there is none on the ME3 squad if Kaidan is dead)

Until recently i'd always assumed they would be controllable for their mission.

The reason I've always assumed the opposite is just the impracticality of implementing all those squad powers + what happens to the second squad member when the temp joins up? + asking the player to stop and attribute squad points to powers/redo keyboard short cuts, etc. quite frequently + what is the point of implementing a smaller squad for tighter relationships if you then can only bring one squad member on a lot of missions?

I thought it would be implemented the same way as LOTSB. Personally i think Bioware have been very duplicitous if it is the case that they have no squad status at all. Should have been upfront that temps would in no way resemble LOTSB Liara content.

Gotta say...

The ME3 squad is easily my least favorite.

That might be a little hypocritical, considering the ME3 squad is the ME1 squad plus a few new people, but, oh well.

The squad make up is one of the main reasons I'm not that excited for this game any more. If there are any other reveals about the story that are done poorly in the coming weeks, then I think I'm just going to cancel my preorder and wait for a price drop. It just doesn't seem as well done as I thought it would be.

They probably aren't going to reveal anything else. The last major bit of marketing I know of is the demo, which is the same rehashed Sur'kesh and Earth bits we've all seen hundreds of times.

That may actually be worse, now that I think about it. Keeping money on something that may or may not suck, as opposed to just buying it when you've formed an opinion on it.

I suppose that's a valid point, but I can't help but admit that there's a lack of enthusiasm on my part. I'm just not excited for it, and its pretty much the developments fault. For the last chapter in an epic, it's pretty poorly done from what I've seen.

Oui, oui. It's a real kick in the balls to all the ME2 squad fans not giveing them some action/play time. I don't wanna be stuck with Irrelevant charcters on the squad when the mission is to do with a different charcter (eg: Miranda) It would make sense for her to join up with you for her level. I really don't get Biowares spin on things if a system like this doesn't get inplemented it would just seem... illogical <_<

Couldn't somebody else do Vegas role though? Just get a character we already know to act really shocked and "wtf" like :L Mehhdy mehh mehh

Quite aprehensive for the game now tbh :/

And I don't think that Miri will have a different colored outfit based on Loyalty. I mean, look at the Love Scene in the Engine room. It was switched back to the Default, as if the Loyalty Outfit doesn't count Story-Wise.

More or less the same for me.

I'm not all that excited about it either. I was pumped and hyped when I put my pre-order down, but now that I acquire more knowledge and information about the characters' roles, I find my interest slowly fading.

That said, I still want to see the Reapers get mown down, and the epic space battles, so I'm probably not going to cancel my order.

In a moment of rash positivity i pre-ordered. Now i'm pretty close to resigning myself that it is going to be a weary struggle through in search of some closure. If so i'll call it my so long and thanks for all the fish bioware payment.

@AgitatedLemon

I'm going to wait and see how the demo plays out and any other information gets leaked before the game comes out, but if what I've seen is a trend I'm probably gonna wait until Amazon puts a price drop on it in a couple of months.

Is he the same boring douche he was in ME1? Or the douchey ****** he was in ME2? (Nothing against people who DO like him, but I don't like Kaidan.)

If so, I don't think I want to.

If you're talking about his actual "look" look, then yes, I've seen him. He looks less like Keanu and more like a normal person in ME3, which I'm happy to see.

So they DID change her hair, at least. It looks weird from that angle, but I doubt they made it look worse.

Cool stuff, I guess. Woulda been nice if she had gotten some new duds, but it's not important.

I don't know we BioWare didn't give her a new outfit. I'm trying to ask as many devs/mods as poosible right now.

It's just shorter.

And it looks like it's only a couple inches difference.

Definitely, I will probably like this game a lot.
However, if Miranda doesn't have the role she deserves in ME3, it would leave a bitter feeling in my mind. A significant part of the enjoyment I could have from playing this game would be busted.

Wow lot of pages, mostly just skimmed. Saw the screenshot, am in the "meh" category. Also I doubt GuyGettingOwned is Lawson, he looks too young and too much like a noob. I think he's he's an assistant or something.
jtav, is it confirmed by devs that she will be in black if loyal? If so I have no problems with her appearance.

I just don't understand. Why that outfit? What's the significance? What is SO important about the White one?

The fact that she's relegated to a side role is pretty indicative of the "role she deserves".

Adds a new touch of emotion to the Miranda romance.

Was it because of the fanbase that made BW keep her in those outfits? Or did the Devs/Artists run out of Ideas?
