Eh, I like both of her comments. Depends on the interpretation and personal tastes.

So...?
Hexagons forming a tessellation = Hamburger wrapper?
Maybe it's just me, but it isn't funny in the slightest.
No, exact pattern of hexagons drawn in gray on exact shade of white=hamburger wrapper.
I never said it was funny. I said I didn't like it because I keep getting reminded of it and the idea of her wearing a fast food wrapper is ridiculous.
And before you even think it, we're not restarting the kinky food discussion.

I absolutely love "The future of humanity, as evidenced by the perfect Ms Lawson"
I absolutely hate "You have no idea how much you've changed her".
Well, they could be linked. All of the Miranda stuff in LotSB, when you look at the dossier and these lines... It's either just a total mess from start to finish, or something rather... unexpected is going to happen somewhere toward the end of ME3.
It always seemed like #1 to me, but now that I know most of the plot of ME3 (which the writers doubtless knew at least the basics of, when this was written), I'm not so sure.

It...could have been better worded.
For example, I don't believe anyone has ever complained about Kasumi's line regarding the romance and it pretty much expresses the same view.
Yep. Kasumi's comment implies that the main change is Miranda being happier. That's good.
Liara's could imply a personality alteration and a certain emotional power difference between Shep/Miranda.

Then... Don't think of it that way?
And cracking a joke twice diminishes its value.

Exactly. That's why we like Kasumi's comment but are suspicious of Liara's.jtav wrote...

Exactly. Actually, this line was a bit clumsy if I may say so myself.
I don't absolutely love Liara's line but I have to say it is nice having an extra dialogue line related to your LI and favorite character.
I understand and agree with the reason why both Ieldra and jtav don't like it. It may be an omen for Miranda's phyche in ME3, which is, from what we read, perhaps too personal-issue focused.

2. No evidence for.
It depends on how you look at it. Clearly you're choosing to interpret it in a negative light. Just saying it doesn't have to be that way.

Do I need to post another wall of text explaining why the ME3 stuff is just fine focusing on her personal issues?

Seconded. Miranda focusing only on her personal issues would not remotely be as attractive to me as ME2's Miranda.jtav wrote...

@AgitatedLemon:
Another wall of text won't change my opinion of this. Miranda's ideals of human advancement, her scientific brilliance and her operative's cold reason should it be necessary are core character traits, as much as her love for her sister. Without them Miranda wouldn't be Miranda any more.

It's been a while since I was last here... but 1 second of Miri in the footage and I had to check back.
As for this, I personally view the power difference to be equal in the end. But then my Shepard was just as changed by Miri as he apparently changed her. Of course I always felt her insecurity was a dead give away to a more emotional side that she hides, so that doubtless changes my interpretation on how much she actually changes.
As for everything else... I want the black leather outfit, don't know any spoilers and don't see why I shouldn't trust Bioware, they haven't failed me yet. As long as she has a role to play and the romance can finish, I think I'll be happy.

I'm not saying they aren't.
Like you said, "Should it be necessary" is the entire point. It might NOT be necessary for her to turn into the Wilson-killer in ME3.

Ah I believe we'll see some of that. The first trait - her dedication to advancing humanity, meaning basically a dedication to Cerberus' original missions statement as evidenced in the Manifesto - is the most problematic one. And the most important one since given the game's premise, it would absolutely have to be presented on-screen.AgitatedLemon wrote...
