I'd say it's a nice mix of the decadent and the professional. Land on Bekenstein, get a really nice suite for the next 24 hours, room service with everyone's favorite food and drink, hop in and out of bed as their fancy takes them, with pillow talk about plans for the coming war, Miranda's plans regarding Cerberus, Shepard's plans for convincing recalcitrant politicians of the Reaper threat etc...jtav wrote...
Okay. It's Miranda's last day on the Normandy before Shep turns himself in. What happens?
I always imagined Mat getting drunk and proposing marriage. Undecided if she accepts.
And ending with a promise to each other to do their best to survive.
Edit:
We do not know who she's throwing in that scene. Looks too nondescript to be her father. A drab bureaucrat, like Martin Burns.

Likely referring to Prothy, as he was pegged as a natural biotic, a la asari. Not sure if that's still the case.
If you're implying that it may be a "Special someone", then... No. I doubt it, as much as I want it to be true.
You know...I was very happy about reading that a squadmate had Slam. Then you just had to crush it!

I think Miri would love something more Healthier than Coa-Coa Puffs. Perhaps Cheerios, Honey-Nut Cheerios, or Shredded Wheat?
Got me thinking about something that came into my head earlier...
If Shepard were to introduce Miranda to fast food, how do you think she would react? Assume Shepard is trying to get her to at least give it a shot, and is persistent. Doesn't matter what kind of fast food it is. And, assuming she eventually ate a bite, how would she take it?
Why would Miranda not be familiar with it? In the course of her career as an operative, she would've been to places of all kinds and ate any kind of different food. Also, "fast food" does not *necessarily* indicate lack of quality or taste. It's more a style of eating, with which she'd be familiar because she's a workaholic and while she appreciates good food, there be times where she simply doesn't bother and just selects the easiest available food that fulfils her body' requirement for fuel.
One thing though: she would see to it that her food is reasonably healthy, i.e. that she gets the right mix of nutrients over the course of a day.

Well Nigel (my Shepard's name) would try to spend as much time with her as possible but would do things that made her happy and comfortable. Even if he had to sit through classical music

I have a question: why is it that most of the Shepards I hear about never share Miranda's taste for classical music or other "refined" tastes. He can be quite well-read in ME1.
This, but Cyrus Shepard definitely shares those tastes. Not exactly Nielsen, but classical music in general. He's also known to comment about Miranda's name originating in Shakespeare's play "The Tempest", similarities between certain mythologies and the current situation with the Reapers, he appreciates a fine meal in a cultured environment etc. etc.. He's Earthborn but always had a knack for soaking up information from all kinds of sources like a sponge without even trying. Having spent most of his years in the Alliance in military intelligence, he also acquired a wide-ranging education including quite a bit of science and the ability to move in different social circles. Apart from that, he sees his origin in the slums of Calcutta as something to get away from really fast, and he's quite ready to let Miranda lead him further away from it than he's already been.MisterJB wrote...
Because Shepard is the PC and most people who play videogames don't have what could be called "refined" tastes.
What he retains is a certain hard-assed attitude at times when he thinks it's necessary, and an unwillingness to put up with social niceties for their own sake when there are real problems.

I'd hope that he's Lawson (and that scene is his execution), but it seems a bit younger to be her father, other than anonymous, in both physical aspect and outfit. Even if they're not going to create an entire new outfit for him, I'd say that the outfit for Shepard that we got with the Kasumi dlc would be better.

Kaidan is an Alliance soldier, and Jacob is a former one, with a soldier-like mindset. Garrus is a former soldier and mercenary, and his capacity is on the combat field. If Vega is a LI (which I think so), there's another Alliance soldier. Only Thane doesn't have a soldier background.
Plus, all of them (don't know for sure about Vega, but I think so) have a good-natured attitude (though Garrus could be more Renegade depending the choices you do in ME and ME2).
The female LI, on the other hand, are specialized in differen fields, and are more varied in their personalities and mindset

Apart from the abominable high heels and a few minor details, this looks really good. More elegant, more dangerous. But I also get villain vibes from it and a "don't f*ck with me" attitude most players wouldn't have forgiven her, a character much harder to win over than Miranda turned out to be. While I'd have appreciated all that, likely Miranda would've gotten more serious hate.MisterJB wrote...
I still think this one would have been the best option.

So the artbook has some interesting concepts for Miranda in ME2...thought I'd post them
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Quite like number 1
Don't like the high neckline on 2
I'd certainly like Miranda to wear number 3 in private with Shep but it is in no way suitable for an XO.
Number 4 seems very much a younger character's outfit. Once again lacking the XO vibe.
5 & 6 are bad.
7 & 8 are on a theme of the final outfit and which was ok.9 & 10 are comically bad.

depending on rp, shepard can take on a lot of the player's qualities - and there's enough references in the game to past activities to read a lot of prior events that then help reinforce that playstyle, from the sublime to the ridiculous.

It looks like a few of the ME2 loyalty powers are being redistributed amoungst the ME3 squad.
Liara seems to have gotten Jack's
Ash seems to have gotten Zaeed's
Kaidan seems to have gotten both Samara's and Jacob's
Vega seems to have gotten Grunt's
And apparantly, Miranda's has gone to the Prothean. Pity.

The Shepard I used to romance her is a native born Parisian who originally was going to study architecture so he could spend all day feeding his artistic interests while listening to neoclassical. Musicians like Yann Tiersen, Carly Commando, Lady Amaranth, all can be heard thumping through his ipod while reading over his copies of Da Vinci's journals. He would've stayed in architecture, but felt that he wanted to do something with more purpose than just fulfilling his own personal desires. This however leads to a lot of time drinking absinthe while musing over what buildings he would design if he were still back home. He'll occasionally dip into something a bit darker, but still retains its roots in classical music, someone like Darling Violetta or Cliff Martinez would appeal to him.
For those of you unfamiliar
Yann Tiersen
Cliff Martinez

But in all honesty, besides the obvious "goodbyes" I imagine a lot of planning is being reconsidered and revised. Miranda's on the run. But she's not going to just hide. So they hatch various plans for recruiting, resource and intelligence gathering etc. she can do while he's occupied. The goal is to secure a fighting position even if they're on their own, against the Alliance, Cerberus and the Reapers. Secretly Miranda also plans a breakout if the Alliance takes too long in releasing Shepard. Actually **** that. Not so secretly. They both agree if the Alliance takes too long, he needs to cut loose. They have but one purpose: stop the Reapers. Everything else is irrelevant.
This.
Regrettebly, these are some of the things they have to talk about when Miranda slips away to Shepards cabin.
They might even be discussing some of these more weighty topics mixed in with more intimate conversation while she's sitting on his lap.

No one else finds it odd that anyone other than Tali would be sitting on Shepard's lap like Santa Claus while he strokes her back? It's a little disturbing. It's even more disturbing that the dev team though to put that in there.

I wonder whether it is safe to assume that Miri won't get an armor in ME3.
I think it depends whether or not there will be DLC content later on, that will allow you to use her more, if not, I don't see them coming up with appearance/armor packs for anyone other than the permanent squaddies.

My Shep was very much under the impression he was coming in to talk not to be locked up in a gilded cell.
So i don't see a huge farewell blowout. I always wanted something along the lines of Malcolm Reynolds line in Serenity.
"Remember, if anything happens to me, or you don't hear from me within the hour... you take this ship and you come and you rescue me."
Obviously i'll have to try and headcanon some kind of reason why Miranda and everybody else let the Alliance hold him hostage for months.
