Thomas is more into History ("those who don't learn from it are condemned to repeat it"). Though having lived on the streets until the age of 12 (especially from the ages of 8-12 after his mother died), his tastes aren't overly refined otherwise. Though he is open to trying new stuff.

Kaidan is an Alliance soldier, and Jacob is a former one, with a soldier-like mindset. Garrus is a former soldier and mercenary, and his capacity is on the combat field. If Vega is a LI (which I think so), there's another Alliance soldier. Only Thane doesn't have a soldier background.
Plus, all of them (don't know for sure about Vega, but I think so) have a good-natured attitude (though Garrus could be more Renegade depending the choices you do in ME and ME2).
The female LI, on the other hand, are specialized in differen fields, and are more varied in their personalities and mindset

The female romances tend to be more... "diverse" (Lack of a better term). Ashley is a soldier in the Alliance (Spectre in ME3), Liara is the Shadow Broker and a former Prothean archaeologist, Miranda is a Cerberus Operative, Tali is an engineer, and Allers is a reporter.

It does seem like all of FemShep's romances (With the exception of Thane) are variations of the same person. Vega's a soldier, Jacob's a soldier, Garrus is a vigilante, Kaidan is a soldier... Kinda dull if you ask me.

It looks like a few of the ME2 loyalty powers are being redistributed amoungst the ME3 squad.

Liara seems to have gotten Jack's
Ash seems to have gotten Zaeed's
Kaidan seems to have gotten both Samara's and Jacob's
Vega seems to have gotten Grunt's

And apparantly, Miranda's has gone to the Prothean. Pity.

Well, at least I can take comfort in Miranda's power going to the badass on the squad.

Everything is as it should be.

I'm still torn. Prothy does sound like a BAMF (and one who may very well have a semi-permanent spot in my squad for missions), I'm not sure I like the idea of someone getting Miranda's power.

Bioware haven't even announced Prothy yet. Though it's ridicolous, since we knew about it since October.
And as jtav, I'm very interested in him. He has a certain spot in my team.

Yup.

Garrus, Liara, and Prothy are going to be my go-to team.

I wish they'd change his face though. He has those creepy goat eyes and a funny looking chin. It makes him look like he has downs.

Yeah, it seems like they didn't put a lof of efforts. Heh, if you consider even the non-LI squadmates, Wrex have  militaristic attitude, Zaeed is a mercenary, Grunt is soldier. Only Mordin is different, though he served in the military too.
Instead, Kasumi and Samara are different from the other female squadmates. Kasumi is thief, while Samara is similar to a monk.

Prothean and Kaidan I think. Though it depends on how much I'm going to like Vega.

More or less just because I always took Garrus and Miranda with me in ME2, so it's a nostalgia thing, and Liara because she's my 2nd favorite female character.

Femshep didn't look all that different, and I don't expect Prothy to either.

Liara and Kaidan. The two people I ship with her.

I doubt we'll get this but I'd like to see Miranda back in her original ME2 outfit--because it's her Cerberus now.

Given i'll have to use 2, it'll be between spoiler character 1, 2(assuming they are handled in a serious manner) and Liara(not a huge fan but considering how much i dislike the handful of other limited choices)

If could take any character to her mission they should be Jack and Ashley. They haven't a good picture of Miranda, maybe bringing them could make her to no hate her persona.

But till now, I'm taking Prothy and Vega. Prothy said "perfect in every regard", so I want him to met Miranda.
