OT, but did they ever announce Prothy's name?

Bioware haven't even announced Prothy yet. Though it's ridicolous, since we knew about it since October.
And as jtav, I'm very interested in him. He has a certain spot in my team.

Yup.

Garrus, Liara, and Prothy are going to be my go-to team.

I wish they'd change his face though. He has those creepy goat eyes and a funny looking chin. It makes him look like he has downs.

Mine will likely be Prothy and Vega. Garrus and Tali are probably going to be left on the Normandy. I may let Ash get her own ship (on Thomas' PT anyway), *spoiler character* may switch spots with Prothy on occasion.

Guys, maybe we shouldn't be so casual about quoting spoilers.

Grey out or remove the AI...

I used to despise Vega, but I think I'll give him a shot. Tried doing the friendship path with Jacob on ME2 again, and... I just can't. I don't like Jacob enough to care to be his friend. Vega idolizes Sheprd though, so that may be a little different.

I may very well let Ash sleep in the airlock. She better pray I don't flush her.

In regards to Prothy, if his personality is the same as it was originally pegged, I think I'll like him, and ignore his god awful facial construction (Maybe I'm just biased because I don't like the route they took with his design)

Curious:

If you could cross-over a character from any other work of fiction into the ME-verse, and they were a part of Shepard's squad, what would they think of Miranda?

edit: Primarily stick to soldier-type characters.

My prime choice for a cross over would be Sam Byrne from Gears of War, or Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell. Sam Fisher is a lot like Miranda when it comes to their respective jobs. They're both efficient, somewhat ruthless (Sam actually maybe more so than Miranda), and very capable killers. Sam from Gears is almost the opposite of Miranda, personality wise. She's upbeat, funny, and relatively laidback, but she can get serious if the situation calls for it.

Quick question, why does miri leave cerberus if you've taken the renegade route?

Because even if you're renegade Cerberus gets all evil for some reason.

I definitely would bring Deadpool to Shepard's team. I mean, take by example his talk with Black Widow.

Deadpool: Black Widow, I've gotta know... Are those real?
Black Widow: I beg your pardon?
Deadpool: Ahh... Your teeth, they're just so darn shiny and straight.

There's the whole "trying to kill you" thing.

I'd totally bring Gregor Eisenhorn with me. He'd pop minds, shoot some husks, summon some Daemonhosts and be a badass.
He'd have a professional respect for Miri but would wonder why she goes naked into battle, because in Warhammer 40K this is considered being naked.

Lets give her a nanosuiot or an octocamo suit, in case you really want some stealth.

I loved the MGS stealth suits because it was skintight for both genders. Sure I can see that assassin's breasts and everything but I also get to look at Snake's glorous globes.

Though on topic.

Ideally what would you want for Miranda's endgame contribution?

She leads all the other rogue Cerberus elements. Humanity's STG formed at last.

btw, who are you taking to Miranda's mission?

None of the squaddies could really have great dialogue on it. Maybe I'll just take Vega and Prothy.

The two new non-human team members. Should be interesting.  Hopefully there is some dialogue.

Solid Snake hands down.
I think he could get along well with Miranda, since they have a similar personalities.

This. So much this. It'd be the perfect endgame contribution (and endgame in general) for Miranda (at least for me)

I'd pick David Webb. He would hate her because she reminds him too closely of the people who handled him in the C.I.A. If anything, I think he might snap and kill her if she pressed him too much, then kill the rest of the ship once Shepard tried to take him out.

Sam Fisher would also hate her because she's like a stronger version of Grim, but would appreciate what she does. He'd grit his teeth and have a love/hate relationship that could go both ways, but they woudl eventually work well together.

I sort of want Miranda to be able to live a normal life, free of her father and all that, being able to go and see her sister whenever she wants. Let someone else do all that Cerberus stuff. To be honest, if BioWare didn't make TIM into a cheap villain I would have left him as the leader of Cerberus without any problems.

I know already that it'll not happen. I got over it.
Still, this would've been the best in my opinion. Heh, if in ME3 the ending will not show what Miranda will do when she survive the Reaper Wars, I could still continue thinking she'll lead a new, mor STG-like, Cerberus.

I wouldn't say the scenario is off the table just yet. It feels like every other Cerberus agent has the potential to go rogue. Randall from Infiltrator, Miranda, Jacob, Oleg Petrovsky, etc. That could be the core of the new Cerberus.

@bold- I would as well. Alas, someone has to twirl the moustache, so they picked TIM out of the hat.

As much as I personally want Miranda to head  a normal life (At least temporarily, or after retirement), I just can't see HER wanting to do it.

Both characters can be compared in many ways.
Indeed, they are both genetically modified humans, designed to be the best in many ways. Also, they were always used as a tool, a mean to an end.
However, Snake was created as a mere experiment as opposed to Miranda who was engineered to carry her father's legacy/dynasty.

Nonetheless, I don't think their have similar personalities.
I don't see Snake as someone having a "sugar and ice" personality as opposed to Miranda. He is not as pragmatic on the battlefield and not as emotional with his close acquaintances in my opinion.
Though they both are extremely resourceful and have a strong will and strong ideals.

I could see them getting along fine professionally speaking, but maybe not as close friends.

Can we define "normal?" A great number of intelligence officers are married with children. I want her to continue to work for human advancement. I also want her to have a positive relationship with her sister and a small circle of close friends. The two are not mutually exclusive, and BW shouldn't treat them as such.
