Is anyone still kind of in denial? I mean, Miranda's stuff in the leak is so terrible that I can't quite believe it. She could be dead on the SM and the only thing that changes is that her personal demons are unbattled and Oriana actually gets a personality.

Question for those that read the leaks: Why do you hate Miranda's role in ME3? I'm not looking for specific spoilers, but rather a general answer that doesn't reveal too much. Is it just because she is not a permanent squadmate, or is there more to it than that? Doing things that are out of character, or an unavoidable 'bad' ending for the character?

It isn't because of any of these points in particular (though I am bitter that she isn't a squad mate).

The general consensus seems to be that it's short, relatively low quality, and as far as we know, Miranda doesn't have an end game contribution. Other people of course have their own other reasons.

That's because her role was compromized in order to cater to the rabid, wailing children. And when I say compromized, I mean really badly compromized. As in her character development was almost completely abandoned by the alienwanking devs just because she wasn't an alien (and by extension, a fan favorite). And don't even get me started on how little time she gets in game. She's not a squaddie, fine. But THIS?!

I have hardly read anything. If I have read more, I do not remember. Even if I did remember, I still will not hate Miri's role. No matter how Long or Short Her Role is, every Moment with Miri will be worth it, because she is my LI, and I <3 her.

I want to be absolutely clear that I think the writing is generally fantastic and has given me a new appreciation for several characters. Which makes the poor quality of Miranda's role a very bitter pill to swallow.

Odd that she would get a short role, even if not a squadmate. With as big of a role as Cerberus is supposedly playing in the plot of Mass Effect 3, you think she'd more tied into that.

I want to be absolutely clear that I think the writing is generally fantastic and has given me a new appreciation for several characters. Which makes the poor quality of Miranda's role a very bitter pill to swallow.

Which characters did you end up coming away with a better appreciation for because of their writing?

from what i seem to get is that most ME2 non ME1 chacters just get a camo apperance if they servived the SM in ME2. They sort of had to keep there aparance short and really uneventful to the grander scheme of things.
