OK, I am trying not to get spoiled about the game and I must say I have done pretty good so far. I have read in this very thread Miranda and unavoidable death in the same sentence... This gets me into a WTF mood.

Is this confirmed? No details or spoilers, just a Yes or a No will suffice.

Is Miranda going to die and we can't prevent it (as per the leaked script)?

It isn't unavoidable (Though ME2 loyalty may play a part). We were discussing what-if's and reactions earlier when that was mentioned.

No, at least I don't think so.

There has been concern on the part of some that this might be the favored option, though, in the sense that it might be the default, easy to get if you're not careful, and perhaps favored by the writers.

I can see why that is a concern based on the leak. I think that's... probably misleading. But I don't really know.

No that was someone's what if question. As of leaked script it is possible to avoid her death.

Hey, I guess that spoiler was fine. I wouldn't like to have Miri die on my first playthrough as I usually feel the first experience is the most important. So good to know I should do this.

No need to hear more about the context though. I virtually know nothing of her mission in ME3 and I'd like to keep it this way.

The last thing considerated good that I readed there is that Miranda mission is a main mission, not side mission like the ones from another characters..

Indeed she is a minor character and quite frankly, I don't know how she could possibly achieve to provide such an asset.
Only an extremely ressourceful person could possibly help that way
