That speculation makes me think of something. During the SM, you can get either Miranda or Jacob to lead the fire teams with equal success. While Jacob's military background, I was able to swallow him doing well with zero problems. Miranda is a leader. I bought it. 


Yep Miranda makes sense to me. Jacob to me i find more surprising.


Especially considering Jacob is the guy to TAKES the orders, not give them.

And he says (If you choose him to keep Garrus alive during Garrus' RM) "You sure Commander? Doesn't seem like such a good idea...", but he has no problems leading a fire team through a suicide mission.

Tactically its the smart thing. Garrus is a sniper with higher ground, another body wont make much difference. Minimizing your numbers when going into unknown danger is a potentially stupid move.

That explains why Jacob's history as a leader on Eden Prime is missing from everything but the suicide mission flavor text.

I think Zaeed could be a better leader, as per his past with the Blue Suns.

Then again... He's been a solo merc for a good while, barring some small assignments where he worked with a small team.

That's not the only reason, though. It's far more likely they are cumulative. For one thing, one of the leaked story drafts explicitly suggests that this is so.

Don't twist my words. Zaeed is a soldier, and a very capable one at that. He could be a good leader. Tali is an engineer, she shouldn't even be in combat.

... You'd get the armor bonuses that it gives you.

We have no GameStop here. I pre ordered the PC CE but I don't think I'll get the N7 Warfare pack.
Still, Valkyrie and Defender armor don't interest me that much.
