Just how improved is Shepard's handling of emotion in ME3, anyhow? I've been avoiding the demo talk and almost all of the footage so far (Only looked at the FemShep trailer and the enemies trailer), so I hear that Shepard is much better portrayed, but how does anyone else feel about it?

I've heard some good things about having the options  to be emotional or not. Based on the demo the only thing i can say is that i'm extremely worried about the auto dialogue in the intro and the seeming lack of ability to steer Shep's dialogue in the fashion you think his character would choose.

Ah.

I won't judge anything based on the demo (They cut a number of things out, like weapon and squad customization, for example). I'm more curious on how Shepard deals with the romances (Of course, Miranda's in particular).

He actually gets good lines. "I'll always want you in my life" and seems in awe over Lazarus. It's actually Miranda I'm concerned about.

I've noticed you express concern over Miranda in the romance, but I've never bothered asking.

Exactly what is the problem, anyway?

It's hard to explain. There's a little flirting in the romance scene, but mostly she just bores me. There's no fire, no swagger in her,

Well, one of the line that I most like from Miranda during ME2 is the "So don't die! You promise me, damn it!."

I haven't readed one of her romance lines as emotive as that one.

This might be the problem. The fact that you're only reading it.

I agree.
Best romance line IMO, it's one of the reasons why I love Miranda's romance so much.

It's going to be tough topping that. I can understand if they don't.

Who needs those silly and frivolous things like tone, or facial expression?

Well, nothing I've read on Miranda's side gets me hyped for the romance, with the possible exception of her death. The same isn't true of Jack, or even Shepard within the Shep/Miranda romance.

Well now that we know Miranda will be wearing her white jumpsuit in ME3, I suppose we'll be seeing more of 'DAT ASS', no?

I like Miri's...features, but really how they constantly shoved it in your face in ME2 was rather untasteful to say the least.

Even though it was a whopping once.

I despise how when people refer to Miranda, the first thing they bring up is DAT ASS or DEM BOOBS.

I honestly feel at times that I'm one of the only people who likes Miranda because of who she is, instead of what she has.

In any case, they seem to have fixed it. ME2 Shep, especially maleShep is so loathsome that I want to see him indoctrinated. ME3 Shep is a pretty great guy, warm, loving, and with moments of human weakness.

Has anyone told you that your opinions tend to the extreme?

This.
They shoved it in our face to the point that a lot of morons tend to only see that aspect of her.
Personally I consider her physical beauty as the icing on a cake, it is the first and most appealing thing you see but it is definitely not the biggest and most interesting part of it.

I think we won't have a lot of screen presence for her, so I don't want to have some "suspicious" shots every two seconds when she is present with Shepard.
Oh well, I guess the obligatory fanservice is now covered by Ashley, Diana and *spoiler character* so they may leave Miranda alone.

Repeatedly. Jen Hale's acting helps a lot, to be fair.

Not to steal jtav's thunder (Probably a better author than I'll ever be), but may I post a small blurb from a story I'm writing? It's still a work in progress, and I hadn't planned on making it my masterpiece, so bear with me.

Once?
From the top of my mind:
-When first entering the normandy, the camera flies past her behind(And Jacob's)
-While talking with her on the Normandy, she's leaning on her desk and her ass takes up more than half of the screen.
-Several other times while talking to her on the Normandy.
-During her loyalty mission, she picks up a radio, bending over, giving you a glorious view of her- You guessed it.
There's probably more.

The first is a pan shot. It isn't focusing on her rear. Or... anything, for that matter. It's floating around, showing the CIC of the Normandy. Miranda and Jacob's (And Shepard's) backsides just happen to pass by. The camera doesn't make it the sole focus of the shot.

The only deliberate ass shot is the infamous one where she explains her situation with Oriana. The same one that's been poorly photoshopped by 5-year olds the world over.

I don't consider scenes like the radio ass shots, because she was doing something and the camera happened to have her rear in the shot. It wasn't planting it atop a pedastal the way the ass shot on the Normandy was. By your logic, every character in the game (Including Shepard) is guilty of the hyper-sexualized glory shot.

I'm sorry but everything from the way how she bended over to how the camera was placed screamed "Look at my ass!" to me.
Not Miri's fault, but BioWare's and it doesn't make me respect her any less.

Shepard had an asshot?

When?

I must've missed it. (I sure in hell was looking).
